Welcome to First Worship! We extend a welcome as broad as the outstretched arms of God, who calls us to be here together to rejoice in God’s glorious presence. Welcome to children of all ages – to all the children of God, each one of us. If you are an old friend or here for the first time, we welcome you.

Our worship is an intergenerational experience and we want children to feel fully included. Children are welcome to pick up an activity bag and to bring snacks to their seats. We remember that worship offers us all a special place to be with God. In this space we talk a little more softly and walk a little more quietly. We are listening for God.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,

As we forgive those who trespass against us.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,

For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

In addition to offering thanksgiving for the those church members who have died during this past year, we will also bring and dedicate our Stewardship pledges for the life of this church in the year to come. Following 10 am worship, our new Ministry of Last Things will share their work, offering help and guidance to our church members in the important decisions to make at the end of life, and support in times of grief and bereavement. We invite you to take a few moments after worship to walk through the Memorial Path in our churchyard, visit our table in Village Common, and come to the Upper Room, for Part One of a forum called "Stewardship of Last Things." Part One will cover the sorts of planning that is helpful for end of life, and resources the church has for you. Part Two, after wor-ship on Nov 11, will focus on how to have such end-of-life conversations with a loved one, practical checklists, more resources and the opportunity to ask questions and reflect on these matters. Please join us. Members of the Ministry of Last Things are Kirk Smith, Nancy Smith, Jim Thistlethwaite, Nancy Calderwood, Roxy Leeson, Charlotte Harrington, Jocelyn Gardner Spencer and Kathy Musser. Contact any of us for more information. Thanksgiving Potluck Sign up during Fellowship Hour Please put the date SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18 on your calendar and sign up at the Community Ministry Table, today and next Sunday in Village Common. All are welcome! That Sunday you may bring food to Village Hall anytime from 9:15 am on. If your last name begins with A-G, please bring a salad or side dish; H-Q, a main dish; and R-Z, a des-sert. If you or your family have a food allergy please mark if the item is vege-tarian, gluten free or peanut free and a special table will be designated for these dishes. Serving a crowd is fun, but it takes many hands.
