Welcome to Year 1 Our Team Vikki Supernovas Teacher Katie Mars Teacher Caroline Mars (Friday Teacher) Sarah and Louise Supernovas ATs Michelle and Lisa Mars ATs Ethos - celebrating children learning and leading - child led learning: - giving children choices of different ways/places to learn including Outdoor Learning - creative curriculum and linking areas of learning to make it meaningful - community links Nick Shon 15 th Oct (Illustrator) - family groups every Tuesday Curriculum Our main topics for the year will be: - All About Me/Space/Florence Nightingale - Toys - Fairy Tales or Seasons Child Choice - We Are What We Eat - Individual Child Led Topics - Hooray Lets Go on Holiday Trips Half termly trips/visitor Approx 60 per year for class trips/ visitors. Local community Seaside end of year trip Logistics Drop off and pick up am. Register taken at 8.45am. This week parents welcomed in for transition/settling. From next Monday (14 th ) parents to say goodbyes in the playground. Assemblies 20 th Nov Vikki Class Assembly 27 th Nov Katie Class Assembly Lunchtime new catering company,ed menu for you to discuss daily with your child Uniform please check the website and ensure your child is dressed accordingly Attendance After school clubs to start w/c 21 st September Timetable Maths/English daily Forest School Monday p.m (start date to be confirmed) Multisports Wed p.m Guided Reading/Read Write Inc. sessions Tell and Show Thursday Afternoons mixture of Child Led Learning, Computing, Creative, RE, PSHE, Humanities, Physical Activities and Topic. Family Groups Tuesday After school club Year 1 small room Breakfast club library Sibling club EYFS Home learning given out Friday and handed in Wednesday Home is part of the child Parent communication link book and positive feedback fortnightly verbal/blog/link book blogs updated weekly please ensure you have signed consent form half termly newsletters half termly sharing mornings Volunteering Please let us know if you have any particular talents or want to volunteer at HA. Book bags Please check daily for letters Behaviour Our Golden Rule is Taking Care Behaviour Steps - Thinking Space in every location to help children reflect with adult support Reward systems praise, celebration and family group tokens Learning Success Team Emma Louise Jackie Rebecca Support for SEN and Gifted/Talented Pupils Safeguarding Keeping our children safe Mobile phones, no phones around the school. Photos only to be taken of your own child in school on a digital camera (not phone) please do not share on social media sites. ESafety permission form, please make sure these are signed or your child will be unable to use technology in school.
