Our Divisions The school is divided into four grade subdivisions, each with their own supervising head: Primary (SK–5); Middle (6 & 7); Intermediate (8 & 9); Senior: (10–12). Students complete the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, a universally recognized education standard that offers an edge for university admissions around the world.
Our CampusUCC is located on 16 hectares in the heart of Toronto, one of the most multicultural cities in the world. Our school boasts a number of athletic and creative facilities, including the Norval Outdoor School, UCC’s 160-hectare nature sanctuary.

FACILITIES AT UCC
Upper School Boarding Facilities Wedd’s House and Seaton’s House are where boys from across Canada and around the world live on campus and take full advantage of everything that UCC has to offer in our well-equipped backyard.
Swimming Pool This 18 metre pool in the Upper School has shallow and deep ends and four lanes for racing, which provides excellent training for swim teams.
Commons Diamond This baseball diamond has enclosed dugouts and major league dimensions of 340 feet down the left field line, 310 feet down the right field line and 455 feet to centre field.
S.A.S. Fitness Centre The Strength, Agility & Speed Fitness Centre opened in the Upper School in 2009. It has a full- time personal trainer, and features the latest exercise equipment and weight machines.
William P. Wilder ’40 Arena & Sports Complex This LEED-Gold certified complex was built in 2009 and houses a NHL-sized rink and one of only four Olympic-sized ice surfaces in Ontario.
Tennis Courts There are four outdoor hard courts and two more hard courts housed in an inflatable sports bubble to enable year-round play.

Laidlaw Hall This dignified room is where Upper School assemblies and some performances are held.
Preparatory School Dining Hall The dining hall features seating for all Prep School students and kitchen facilities for preparing a range of nutritious food prepared by Aramark Canad
Outdoor Sports Court This fenced-in area has a hard plastic surface and can be used for a variety of sports, including ball hockey.
David Chu Theatre This intimate performance space has seating for 250 on two levels and is used for musical and theatre performances in the Upper School.
George Weston Hall This room in the Preparatory School is used for assemblies, musical and theatrical performances.
Oval and Main Field A 400-metre synthetic running track encircles an artificial turf field used for football, soccer, rugby and lacrosse. A portion of the field is covered by a bubble in the winter.

Upper School Dining Hall The dining hall includes seating for Upper School students and extensive kitchen facilities for preparing a range of healthy food prepared by Aramark Canada.
Preparatory School Gymnasium This gym opened in 1954 and is central to the Prep’s myriad athletic activities.
Music Room Students have access to several state-of-the-art practice rooms and a Logic sound studio for recording their work.
Lett Gymnasium (Upper School) This large gymnasium, which can be divided into two smaller gyms, opened in 1993 as part of the Upper School’s Foster and Bill Hewitt Athletic Centre.
Preparatory School Learning Garden This garden helps students learn by producing a variety of vegetables, herbs, flowers and other plants.
Norval Outdoor School Our “second campus” is a 160-hectare nature sanctuary about 50 km northwest of Toronto.

Upper School Student and Creativity Centre This facility was built in 1997 to expand creative thinking among students in a way that’s dynamic, integrated and comprehensive.
Wilder Library (Prep) Boasts a collection of more than 15,000 volumes, a dozencomputers and a large and comfortable seating area.
The Wernham & West Centre for Learning A world renowned, centre offering boys learning strategies and research for faculty.
The Michael Adamson Cricket PavilionThis clubhouse opened in 1985 and overlooks UCC’s cricket pitch, a sport at the school for over 150 years.
The Macintosh Library (Upper School) Has print collections, electronicencyclopedias and databases, as well as online access to major public and university libraries, including U of T.

Financial AssistanceUCC is committed to attracting the very best students. To this end, we have allocated over $3.7 million in financial assistance to new and returning families (grade 5 and above) for the 2013-2014 school year.
Amounts are allocated yearly, based on family need. Eligible families may receive up to 100% of tuition.

Campus Tours We offer campus tours on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 1:00 p.m. for the Upper School and 2:00 p.m. for the Prep School. Weekly tours commence in mid-October running through May and may be booked online.
