HOTELS: It is sometimes impossible for the entire tour party to be lodged in the same hotel. On occasions when hotel substitutions are made, we assure accommodations in the best available alternative hotel of similar standard. Hotels will maintain a separate account for any meals or personal expenses not included in the program. Please be sure to pay any additional expenses directly to the hotel before checking out.

PORTERAGE: Hotel porterage for 1 bag per person is included. Passen-gers with additional suitcases will be charged $4 per bag per day for each additional bag which will be collected at tour departure.

SEAT ROTATION: The policy of ATP, for all our tours and on all our coaches, is daily seat rotation. In the attempt to treat all participants equally, we ask that all travelers kindly familiarize themselves with our system of seat rotation. Your tour escort will supervise these seat changes, which will be done once or twice per day allowing all travelers to fair seating.

SMOKING: No smoking is permitted on tour coaches. We ask that passengers kindly confine their smoking to the regularly scheduled rest

stops.

LAVATORY: In the interest of all passengers, we request that the lavatory on the bus be used only in emergencies. Regular rest stops will be made and we encourage participants to use the lavatory facilities provided at these stops.

OPTIONALS: Additional excursions and services are offered to further

enhance your tour experience. These services are offered on an optional

basis for which you may choose to pay either by cash or credit card.

TIPPING: Unlike most other countries, tips and gratuities for those work-

ing in the service industry are not included in the prices. This enables

the client to make a better decision about the quality of service received

and about the compensation for the service provider. Tipping should ac-

curately reflect the quality of the service rendered. We offer the following

suggestions as tipping guidelines hoping that you will find them helpful

Hotel personnel, Porters $1.00 per suitcase

Taxi drivers 15-20% of fare cost

Waiters, waitresses 15-20% of the bill

Tour escort (per person) $4.00-$6.00 per day

Bus driver (per person) $3.00-$4.00 per day

Your tour documentation includes two envelopes, one for the guide and one for the driver. It is customary to hand the envelopes to the guide and driver as you leave the tour.

DAY 1 FRIDAY Los Angeles Welcome to Los Angeles, the capital of the film and television industry, a booming cultural mecca with over 300 museums and perpetual pleasant weather! Upon arrival at the airport in Los Angeles, transfer to the hotel either via the hotel’s shuttle (if accommodated at the Hilton LAX Airport) or on a seat-in basis (if accommodated in Downtown Los Angeles).

DAY 2 SATURDAY Los Angeles This morning explore Los Angeles during a half-day city tour including the famous Hollywood Boulevard, Graumann’s Chinese Theatre, the “Walk of Fame”, Sunset Strip and Downtown Los Angeles. Afternoon at leisure to relax or perhaps to join an optional sightseeing tour.

DAY 3 SUNDAY Los Angeles h Las Vegas (270 m / 435 km)Travel through the desert to the man-made paradise of Las Vegas. Enjoy this boomtown resort, featuring non-stop casinos, fabulous entertainment, great restaurants and attractions.

DAY 4 MONDAY Las Vegas h Grand Canyon (345 m / 555 km) Departure for one of the seven natural wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon. Its grandiose landscape inspires and overwhelms the senses through its immense dimensions: 227 miles (446 km) long , up to 18 miles (29 km) wide and more than a mile (1,600 m) deep.

DAY 5 TUESDAY Grand Canyon h Monument Valley h Canyonlands h Moab (322 m / 515 km)This morning, continue to the Painted Desert and Monument Valley, land of the Navajo Indian, an enchanted land of buttes and spires. While en route to Moab, catch a glimpse of another wonderful National Park in southern Utah: Canyonlands. Its rugged beauty is only a prelude to the next day’s journey.

DAY 6 WEDNESDAY Moab h Arches h Rock Springs (290 m / 462 km)Continue the tour with yet another magnificent national park: Arches, a symphony of colors and shapes, created by the forces of nature. The tour will reach Rock Springs in the afternoon.

DAY 7 THURSDAY Rock Springs h Grand Teton h Jackson Hole (239 m / 382 km)Early morning departure for the visit to Grand Teton National Park, where jagged granite peaks reflect into a myriad of alpine lakes. Its lush forests are home to antelope, mule deer, chipmunks and colorful blue jays. The tour continues to picturesque Jackson Hole, Wyoming, the town that epitomizes the true Wild West.

DAY 8 FRIDAY Jackson Hole h Yellowstone (107 m / 172 km)Enjoy a day of discovery in America’s first National Park: Yellowstone. The park has many special features such as geysers, mud volcanoes, bald eagles, and herds of bison roaming freely on the prairies. The entire day is free to explore this natural wonder and with some luck, catch a glimpse of a bear!

DAY 9 SATURDAY Yellowstone h Salt Lake City (323 m / 517 km)Travel south to Utah’s State Capital, Salt Lake City, host of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. Visit Temple Square, the Mormon Tabernacle and the State Capitol before arrival at the hotel.

DAY 10 SUNDAY Salt Lake City h Bryce (284 m / 454 km)Depart Salt Lake City for Bryce Canyon. Spend some time enjoying the unforgettable landscape: an intricate design of sandstone pinnacles and grottos. This park has a stunning array of colors and shapes that even the most talented artist would have difficulties capturing.

DAY 11 MONDAY Bryce h Zion h Las Vegas (238 m / 381 km)Morning sightseeing of another impressive national park: Zion. The park’s plateaus and stunning landscapes will leave anyone breathless. Continue along the Virgin River to the Mojave Desert and the state of Nevada. In the afternoon, arrive in Las Vegas, the city of lights.
