Advent four candles: HOPE –FAITH – JOY- PEACE

The 1st Sunday of Advent symbolizes Hope with the “Prophet’s Candle” reminding us

that Jesus is coming.

The 2nd Sunday of Advent symbolizes Faith with the “Bethlehem Candle” reminding us

of Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem.

The 3rd Sunday of Advent symbolizes Joy with the “Shepherd’s Candle” reminding us of

the Joy the world experienced at the coming birth of Jesus.

The 4th Sunday of Advent symbolizes Peace with the “Angel’s Candle” reminding us

of the message of the angels: “Peace on Earth, Good Will torward Men.”

A new liturgical year has begun with these 4 advent weeks and these liturgical celebra-

tions help us to celebrate a fruitful Christmas.

God bless you all

Fr. Leo Johnson

Christmas Flower and Decoration

Memorial contributions have been a great

tradition in which donations are given in

memory of a loved one. The donations

should be placed in an envelope indicating who the

donation is in memory of, who the donation is from

and for which parish the donation is intended.

Envelopes may be placed in collection plates.

St. Anthony’s STP Pork Sale Anthony’s STP

Pork Sale is running now through January

8, 2019. Processed by Pinter's Packing

Plant in Dorchester, WI. Pork will be

delivered in a refrigerated truck on Feb 16/17. You pay

when you receive your pork. Please feel free to ask

your family, neighbors, etc. if they want to order too!

Proceeds will go towards educational & operation funds

for the school. More order forms are in the back of

SA church, Fourmens & House of Spirits. Drop them in

the collection or send back to St. Anthony’s. Gift certif-

icates are available if you would like to purchase for a

Christmas gift! Please call the school or rectory office

with questions. Thank you!

St. Anthony School has received a DOJ safety grant

for $10,000. It will cover a new telephone system for

the school office, day care center and all classrooms,

plus a security camera system for the outside of our

school. We are in need of an additional $2,095 to

cover our parish office telephone system. If anyone

would like to donate toward this, we would greatly

appreciate it.

Looking ahead. The St. Anthony STP will be sponsor-

ing a Sweepstakes Table at the annual Catholic Schools

Week Pancake Breakfast which will be held on Sunday,

January 27, 2019. We would appreciate any donations

of new items or hand crafted items for the tables.

Christmas sales and clearance sales are excellent places

to watch for neat ideas for the tables. Thank you in

advance for your support of our Catholic School!

Attention Parishioners. 2018 Parish Contributions

would be appreciated by December 31, 2018 to allow

us to credit your statements, do the paperwork and
