before graduation; didn’t graduate

requisites in 1 year
• Got into Med School,
completed 5 weeks
• Decided she wanted to
go to nursing school
• 1 more year of pre-requisites
• Graduated from nursing
school in August 2011
• Psychology major
• Summa Cum Laude graduate

• Original major: Aerospace engineering
• AF ROTC (1 year) • Realized he wanted to
be a veterinarian • Switched to biochemistry

The FOCUS Program • What is FOCUS?
o 5 short assessments: Work Interests, Values, Personality, Skills, and Leisure Interests
o Correlates your assessment results to 1,200 professions
o Correlates these professions to Citadel majors
• Why use FOCUS? o Which career is a best fit?
o What major should you choose to enter that career?
• After completing FOCUS… o Use your results as basis for your exploration.
o Discuss your results with your parents, etc.
o Save the results for your reference.
