There has never been a year when we have been so excited to welcome our students, staff and families back into our East Irondequoit School Community! I cannot say it enough, we have missed you!

Last year we set many goals, including increasing academic achievement through deeper learning, while also fostering a culture of care and trust. Many of the goals we set for ourselves are not only still pertinent to the year ahead, but they are even more important as we return from more than 25 weeks since we were last together with our students. We are ready and we are excited!

As we transition into the new year, we will continue to put student achievement at the forefront of all that we do, while also fostering a school and district culture steeped in inclusivity, care, and trust.

There is a great deal of helpful information in the 2020-2021 calendar. Please reference it throughout the school year. I know that we are going to have a wonderful year!

Putting together the annual calendar is an exciting reminder of all the amazing things we have to celebrate in East Irondequoit! Whether it’s our annual building-wide Open Houses in the fall or graduation in June, there is so much to be proud of in our schools!

Our goals for the new year are simple, we will continue to increase student achievement through deeper learning and we will continue to build a culture of care and trust. Both of these goals are not only important, but they are imperative to creating a sense of community and belonging for all students and families.

The annual calendar is full of helpful information. I suggest you place it somewhere that is easy to access as events are going on almost daily. In addition to the many events advertised in the calendar there is also a great deal of parent and guardian information.
