Most senior centers prepare income tax returns for seniors & low-income people. It’s a volunteer job Feb – April 15, 2-3 days a week. The Friendship Center in Petoskey needs volunteers. Training is provided, tax returns are usually simple and the people so appreciate the help. No need to be here the full tax season. They will work around your schedule. To volunteer call Jean Hunt at 537-2312.

The congregation voted to appove the upgrading of Fellowship Hall, kitchen & upstairs bathrooms, and other updates as needed. The proposed cost will not exceed $25,000. Funds will come from undesignated savings which will then need to be replenished with a capital campaign. The campaign “Restoring His Gathering Place” begins today and will end in early 2018. Donation envelopes will be in Fellowship Hall or the church office. Each $20 gift will be colored in on the donation board.
