Our Service!!Skype Introduction !For our international clients who are not planning to visit the UK, your designated consultant will arrange to have an in-depth Skype conversation to find out all your requirements and get to know you and your family. If it is possible for us to 'meet' the children via Skype too, this is ideal. Where Skype is unavailable, we will call you.!!Meeting in the UK / At Our Offices!For clients visiting the UK, we would love to be able to meet you and your family, to be able to see you face to face can make all the difference! We will be delighted to arrange to meet you at a location convenient to you or you are welcome to arrange to visit our office which is just outside the City of London, in Shoreditch, EC2.!!Home Visits!International home visits can be arranged if required. A designated recruiter can come and meet you and your family in your home country, please enquire for costs. !!Experienced, Friendly Recruitment Consultants!The recruitment consultants who work at SNAP are experienced working with children and / or young people with additional needs and will understand your needs; not just your child's needs, but those of your family as a whole.!!A Bespoke Job Description!We will create and send you a bespoke job description once we have discussed your requirements, for you to approve prior to starting our search. This will also include the full costs. Our job descriptions give prospective candidates an insight into your child; not just about their particular needs but about their character, interests and potential. !!Thorough Screening!Each applicant is required to provide personal as well as professional information to us. We require a professional CV, full contact details for at least two professional references and confirmation they are fit, physically and mentally. We verify and scan original documents including passport, visas, driving licence, current DBS, qualifications, marriage certificates etc.!!We interview all applicants face to face wherever geographically possible, if this is not possible, we interview via Skype. Our interview questions are very thorough; as well as going through all previous employment, candidates are asked about where they are in their personal life, about their interests and aspirations. As well as screening for the right experience, we are also looking for the right attitude, which is just as important. !

Our Service!!!Full Candidate Details!When we identify one or more suitable candidates, we will send you their full details which include a top sheet created from answers provided on their registration form, our interview comments, a photo, a full CV and references they have provided / we have obtained. We obtain at least 2 written references that are also verbally verified. !!Disclosure & Barring Service Check (DSB)!We are registered with the Disclosure & Barring Service (formally the Criminal Records Bureau) and will process an enhanced DSB Check for anyone placed through us. SNAP covers the cost of this police check as well as the first year of the DBS Update Service.!!Peace of Mind!Even if someone ticks all the boxes on paper, if we don’t feel they are giving us all the information or we have any doubts, we will not pass their details to you. If we have three possible candidates, we’ll send three, if we have just one, we’ll send one. We work with families who have children and young people who are potentially very vulnerable and we won’t cut any corners or send you details of someone we know doesn't meet your, and our, standards. !!Guarantee!We want you to have the right person and while the majority of placements are highly successful, sometimes it doesn’t work out as everyone hoped. As long as our Terms & Conditions have been adhered to, we will endeavour to find a replacement at no extra charge or issue the appropriate refund. Our guarantee period is 4 months, but we will always look at each case individually beyond 4 months.!!Information, Support and Advice!We are happy to assist you with any questions you may have around the recruitment process. Once a placement has been made we will send you a bespoke draft employment contract and Payroll company details if needed. !!Contracts & Employment Information!We will be pleased to provide you with a draft contract of employment. This will however be under UK employment law, so we advise you use it as a guide only. !!After Placement Support!Your designated consultant will contact you to see how the placement is going. We usually call / Skype when someone has just started to see how they are settling in, then in a couple of weeks and lastly after 3 months. The Recruitment Process!!A designated recruitment consultant will be assigned to you. Your consultant will have an in-depth conversation with you once we have received the details of your position via our vacancy registration form to gain full insight into your needs, the needs of your child or children and the specialist assistance you require.!!Bespoke Job Description!Your consultant will then create and send you a bespoke job description and full cost analysis for your approval. Once you have approved the costs and job description, we will ask you to pay the 30% retainer fee and as soon as this is received, the consultant will immediately begin the recruitment campaign for your role. We will post up your job on our website and place any additional advertisements on your behalf, to ensure we attract the most suitable candidates. We will also search through our extensive database built up since 2001 to assess suitability for the role of candidates already registered with us. !!Candidate Details We will send you full details of short-listed candidates who have successfully been interviewed. Details include: their full CV, references (written and verbally verified, wherever possible) and confirmation of the documentation that has been verified. !!Interviews & Trials!We will arrange interviews and where appropriate, trials for you. (We highly recommend arranging a trial before offering a permanent position). !!Employment Contracts !Once you have formally offered the position in writing and the candidate has accepted (also in writing), we will assist with contract negotiation / mediation. We can provide a draft contract for your information, but we are unable to provide final contracts as these will need to be subject to local employment law, not those of the UK. We do ask employers and employees to sign an agreement to confirm specific details that may be outside of a typical employment contract. This is in addition to your contract.!!Payment!Your final invoice will be raised (Minus the 30% retainer fee already paid). Payment is required prior to the candidate’s start date. Payment can be made by direct bank payment. !!Your consultant will send you a completed placement checklist which will detail any outstanding documents, for example, the candidate’s DBS police check may still be in process with the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS). !!Your consultant will make placement follow up calls when the candidate has first started, after a few weeks and then after 3 months to ensure everything is running as smoothly as expected.!

Sample Placements: Behavioural / ASD !!!International Educator!Brief Background: The family in Abu Dhabi have 2 children; a little girl aged 6 and her sister aged 4. The eldest child has been diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome.!!Requirements: The family have a fully-staffed household and the children are looked after by 2 'nannies'. The current ‘nannies’ are very good at addressing the children's physical needs, but not equipped to help the eldest daughter's behavioural needs. The little girl recently started attending school but was finding it difficult to cope. !!SNAP Placement: We placed a very experience educator who had worked with a number of families with children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She worked 6 days a week on a daily basis; the family provided a small apartment locally for her. The educator supported the little girl in her classroom in the mornings and then worked with her at home in the afternoons. She liaised with the teachers who were able to give her the school timetable so she could prepare the girl in advance of subjects to be covered. The educator also worked with the two ‘nannies’ to help them build their understanding of the girl's needs and created activities which included both sisters. The little girl’s behaviour gradually improved as she gained confidence and became less anxious. !!!International ABA Lead Therapist & Therapy Support / Specialist Nanny!Brief Background: The family in Dubai and have a son aged 6 who has a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).!!Requirements: The little boy follows an ABA programme and the family require an experienced lead therapist and a specialist nanny who can support the child at home and in other non-therapy environments. !!SNAP Placement: SNAP recruited both the lead ABA Therapist with full Board Certified Behaviour Analysts certification (BCBA) and an experience specialist / special needs nanny who had previous experience working with a wide range of children on the autistic spectrum within home settings. The 2 candidates worked well together to ensure continuity between the home and the therapy settings. Both candidates were able to learn different aspects about the child from each other, which in turn were passed to the other therapists involved in the ABA programme. The little boy was able to concentrate for longer periods and his speech improved which in turn helped his behaviour. !!!

Sample Placements: Rehabilitation / Physical Needs!!!!International Specialist Nanny / Rehabilitation Support!Brief Background: The family live in Dubai with their 3 sons aged 2, 4 and 8. Their eldest son had an accident and sustained an acquired a brain injury (ABI). He had difficulty with his speech, mobility and short term memory. He tired easily and was prone to emotional outbursts.!!Requirements: The family visited the UK to attend a specialist treatment / rehabilitation centre for children with an ABI for an assessment. The centre were to carry out the assessment and then provide the family with a care plan for his continued rehabilitation at home. !!SNAP Placement: SNAP recruited an experience special needs / specialist nanny to work with the boy at the rehabilitation centre, she then returned with the family after 6 weeks to Dubai, where she worked on a full time, permanent basis as a live-in specialist nanny. While in the UK, she was able to liaise with the various therapists and understand how his care plan should be best implemented. She remained in contact with the centre who monitored his progress. The nanny attended therapy and hospital appointments on her own and with the mother. The little boy’s progress was slow but steady and he was able to start to attend to some school work at home. His confidence, physical strength and mobility improved and he had started to enjoy some outdoor activities again. !!!Two International Special Needs / Specialist Nannies!Brief Background: The family in Switzerland have a 2 year old daughter who has a rare genetic condition. The grandparents also play an active role in the care of their granddaughter. !!Requirements: The little girl requires 24 hour care and her needs are very complex. At night she is prone to epileptic seizures and needs constant monitoring. !!SNAP Placement: SNAP placed a mature woman who had previously worked as a nurse plus a special needs nanny who had looked after a child in the UK with very similar needs. Together with the parents and grandparents, they worked out a rota to ensure the little girl was always carefully looked after day and night. At times one of the nannies would accompany the grandparents or parents for hospital visits. The two nannies worked full-time and shared an apartment close by. !!

International Agency Fees!!Europe: 16% of the employee's gross annual salary!Rest of World: 20% of the employee's gross annual salary! !!Multiple Placement Discounts!The following discounts are applicable when SNAP is asked to recruit for more than one position. This discount only applies if all positions are recruited for within the same period. !!One placement (highest monetary value), usual placement fee applies!Any subsequent placements each at 10% discount!!!Returning Clients Discount!We are pleased to offer a 10% discount to clients who have previously employed a permanent candidate through SNAP (and have adhered to our terms and conditions). !!!Retainer Fee!SNAP Childcare offers an Executive Search for international clients. We appreciate International clients often have urgent and / or very specific requirements. International Placements!! !!International Terms & Conditions!(Please read carefully, these terms are binding). !!1. Where an Employer has requested the services of SNAP Childcare Ltd, they are deemed to have accepted SNAP Childcare terms conditions and fees. In these terms and conditions an "Employer" means a person or company that employs or seeks to employ a nanny, carer or other childcare / care worker through the services of SNAP Childcare, and an "Employee" or “Candidate” means a nanny, carer or other childcare / care worker introduced by SNAP Childcare.!!2. SNAP Childcare is an introductory service only. Any contract of employment will be entered into between the Employer and Employee. Our involvement in contracts is in an advisory capacity only.!!3. SNAP Childcare will invoice the Employer when an Employee has accepted the position offered and not on the first day of employment. Agency fees are payable within 14 days of date of invoice or 14 days prior to the Employee starting work, which ever is the soonest. Candidates will only commence employment when full payment of the invoice has been received. Late payment will delay the start date and will be subject to a surcharge of 5% of the total invoice, per month.!!4. In the following situations the 30% retainer fee will not be returned: !!4a) If SNAP Childcare has identified and sent details of suitable applicant(s) based on the information provided about the position, but the Employer has changed the details of the position to such an extent, that the identified applicant(s) is / are no longer suitable. This also includes the complete withdrawal of a position. !!4b) If SNAP Childcare has identified and sent details of suitable applicant(s) based on the information provided about the position, but the Employer has identified a candidate herself / himself and / or no longer requires the services of SNAP Childcare.!!5. Should an Employee's temporary or part-time position be extended the Employer shall notify SNAP Childcare in writing within 7 days of any such change, and be liable to pay any additional fee commensurate with the additional employment. Failure to notify SNAP Childcare, will result in an additional 10% surcharge. !!6. All information that is passed by SNAP Childcare in the course of an introduction shall be treated as confidential by the Employer, such information to include (but not be limited to) C.V.'s, addresses, the fact of introduction, and all other personal details. !

International Placements Continued!!! !International Terms & Conditions!(Please read carefully, these terms are binding). !!!7. We recommend a trial is arranged prior to a job offer. Trials are limited to one week (7 days) and the Employer is responsible for all costs relating to the trial, including return travel costs, accommodation and remuneration to the candidate based on the quoted weekly wage. !!8. No Employer who has received details of a candidate from SNAP Childcare, shall introduce that Employee to any third party other than through SNAP Childcare at any time, now or in the future, nor employ the candidate now or at any time in the future, without going through SNAP Childcare and paying the agreed placement fees. If an introduction is made contrary to this condition at any time now or in the future, the Employer shall be liable for the full fees plus a surcharge of 10%.!!9. Whilst SNAP Childcare makes every reasonable effort to ensure the suitability of potential Employees/candidates, we cannot accept responsibility for loss, damage or personal injury arising out of any introduction, nor give any warranty concerning history, character, age or capability. !!10. If a position is offered to & accepted by the candidate, but then subsequently withdrawn by the Employer, the Employer will be liable to pay the full placement fee.!!11. If a permanent candidate is required & the Employer accepts a temporary candidate until a suitable permanent candidate is available, we will deduct 50% of the temporary fee paid from any subsequent permanent fee.!!12. Where a position has been offered and accepted, but the details of the position have subsequently changed so as to make the position untenable and unable to start the position, the Employer will be liable for the full fee plus one weeks wages for the candidate. If the candidate has already started the position, the Employer will be liable for the full fee plus wages relating to the number of days or weeks the candidate has worked.!!!Complaints !We try very hard to offer a great service, but if you are unhappy about any aspect and wish to make a complaint about SNAP Childcare or any of its' employees, please write to Andrew Knight or Sally Britton, (Directors). SNAP Childcare: Agency Replacement Guarantee!!SNAP Childcare offers a replacement guarantee period for positions placed of 4 months (16 weeks). Should a placement not work out during this time, we will find a replacement within 8 weeks of receiving written confirmation of termination of employment, based on the initial requirements provided. Only one replacement will be made for each placement. !!!Our guarantee is conditional on the following:!1. SNAP Childcare receives written notification of the termination of employment from the Employer within five working days of the agency being initially informed!!2. The placement fee due has been paid in full within 14 days of the date of invoice.!!3. Suitable replacement(s) are not unreasonably refused within the 8-week replacement period (Based on the initial requirements provided)!!4. Another agency or other source is not used during the 8-week replacement period!!5. The Employee has left or not started the position because of unreasonable conditions!!6. The job description has not been changed !!7. The contract has been used and has not been breached!!8. SNAP Childcare's Terms and Conditions have been adhered to!!9. The job has not been withdrawn within the 8-week replacement period!!10. The Employer has not informed SNAP Childcare within the 8-week period they no longer require the services of SNAP Childcare!!!Refunds !Should no replacement be available within the 8 week replacement period and the terms of the guarantee above have not been breached, SNAP Childcare will issue the applicable refund as follows:!!Up to 2 months: 45%, 2 to 3 months: 25%, 3 to 4 months: 15%!!Cancellations!Should a candidate cancel the placement through no fault of the Employer, a replacement will be provided at no additional charge. Should no suitable replacement be available within an 8 week period, a full refund will be made minus a £600.00 administration fee.!!SNAP Childcare. Registered Office: 91-93 Great Eastern Street.
