ABOUT SCHOOL OF THE TIGER
For over twenty years School of the Tiger has been working with the Cosumnes Community Services. Our commitment
to excellence has enabled us to produce extremely qualified martial artists who are dedicated, disciplined, and
well respected in the community. In July of 2009 we opened our new state-of-the-art facility.
THE FACILITYSchool of the Tiger’s new 10,000 sq ft facility contains five different training rooms for our students. Our building also contains locker rooms and showers as well as a retail store where students can purchase the equipment they need for their classes. To learn more about the different rooms, click the links below:
Bag RoomMirror Room MMA Room Boxing RoomMain Room
MIRROR ROOM
The mirror room has mirrors along all of the walls and is a great room for karate students to practice katas/forms because they can see themselves from all angles. Students also practice punches, kicks, strikes and blocks in front of the mirrors in order to focus on improving their technique.
BAG ROOM
In the bag room, students work on sparring and self-defense techniques in partners and practice speed, power, and timing using the targets and shields. Students go through different exercises to improve coordination.
MMA ROOM The MMA room is
designed specifically for Jujitsu and Muay Thai, with Muay Thai heavy bags and tear drop bags on the walls so students can practice a variety of strikes and thick mats on the floor making it perfect for taking falls in Jujitsu.
BOXING ROOM
The boxing room is filled with various hanging and standing bags for students to use. This room is where the boxing class takes place.
MAIN ROOM
The main room is where the karate warm-up takes place and where sparring nights are held. The Muay Thai, Wrestling, and Fencing classes also use this room for practicing techniques and drills.
