Transfer money to any Visa Card with SABB Visa Direct

SABB is delighted to introduce you to its new money transfer service called Visa Direct, where you can transfermoney from your SABB current or savings account to any Visa debit, credit or prepaid card in the world instantly!

This service can be used to transfer money to the following countries:

What is SABB Visa Direct?SABB Visa Direct is a crossborder money transfer service offered through Visa International that allowsSABB savings and current account customers to transfer money to any Visa debit, credit and prepaidcardholders abroad through SABBNET or any SABB ATM across Saudi Arabia.

Funds can be transferred and credited instantly to the beneficiary's card account if the recipient's cardissuing bank has the 'Fast Fund' feature. Once the beneficiary receives the funds, he or she can withdrawthem through a Visa ATM or spend them through the Visa card at participating merchants. So, thebeneficiary doesn't need to visit the bank or any other outlet to receive the funds.

When transferring money to 'nonFast Fund' banks, it may take up to 48 hours (Two working days) forthe funds to be credited to the card account.

 

 

Visa Direct money transfer features:

There's no need to remember long account details, as only the beneficiary's name and Visa cardnumber are required to transfer money. In addition, the beneficiary doesn't have to disclose anysecurity details like the expiry date or the CVV.Safe and secure  The money transfer feature is offered through SABB's online banking service andATMs, and the funds are transferred securely through Visa's network.If a beneficiary's bank has the 'Fast Fund' feature, the money will be transferred instantly (You willfind out whether the recipient's bank is a 'Fast Fund' bank or not at the time of adding thebeneficiary).If a beneficiary's bank doesn't have the 'Fast Fund' feature, the money will be transferred withinapproximately 48 hours.( Two working days)The money will only be transferred in the local currency of the beneficiary's country.The Visa Direct service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week through SABBNET and SABBATMs.The service is available to all our existing customers, as well as new customers who open anaccount with SABB.The minimum amount that can be transferred through Visa Direct is SAR 100 per transaction.The maximum amount that can be transferred through Visa Direct is SAR 9,375 per transaction.Premier and Advance customers can make up to three transactions per day.

 

 

Visa Direct money transfer charges

The Visa Direct money transfer service is a very competitively priced service, which offerscustomers much more than regular money transfer service operators and is even better valued thaninstant cash transfer services.The amount you send equals the amount the beneficiary will receive. You can enter an amount inSaudi Riyals, and the amount will be converted into the local currency of the beneficiary at verycompetitive rates and shown to you before you complete the transaction. There are no hiddencharges.You also may enter the amount in the local currency of the beneficiary, and it will be converted ata very competitive rate. An equivalent amount in Saudi Riyals will be displayed to you. Again,there are no hidden charges.As a special launch offer, SABB will not charge any transaction fees until 30 April 2015.

How to access this service through SABB's banking channels:

In the following, you'll see stepbystep instructions on how to add a beneficiary and transfer moneythrough the convenient Visa Direct service.

A. To make a transfer through SABBNET:

First, please log on to SABBNET. In case you are not registered with our SABBNET online bankingservice, please click here.

1. Once you successfully logged on, select 'Transfer' from the list of services offered bySABBNET.2. Once you are on the 'Transfer' services menu, select 'New beneficiary'.3. Select 'Overseas  Visa Direct' from the dropdown menu.4. Provide the beneficiary name, Visa card number and country details.5. State the purpose of the money transfer by choosing one from the dropdown menu.6. Click on 'Save'.7. You will be taken to the next screen where a confirmation message regarding the savedbeneficiary will be displayed. In addition, it will be indicated to you whether or not thebeneficiary's bank has the 'Fast Fund' feature.8. Activate the beneficiary by calling SABB Direct. The beneficiary can be activated throughSABB Direct.9. Once you have successfully activated the beneficiary, simply select this beneficiary from the listof beneficiaries for the transfer of funds.10. Just select the 'From Account' currency if you want to enter an amount in Saudi Riyals, or the'To Account' currency if you want to enter an amount in the local currency of the beneficiary.11. In case you select Saudi Riyals as the currency, you will be shown the amount that will betransferred in the local currency of the beneficiary after the required conversion rate has beenapplied.12. In case you select the beneficiary's local currency, you will be shown the equivalent amount inSaudi Riyals after the amount has been converted from the local currency to Saudi Riyals.13. Enter the SMS code sent to your phone to complete the transfer.14. In case of a 'Fast Fund' transfer, funds will be credited to the beneficiary's account within amaximum of 30 minutes.15. In case of a 'nonFast Fund' transfer, it may take up to 48 hours (Two working days) for theamount to be credited to the beneficiary's card account.

B. To make a transfer through SABB ATMs:

The SABB Visa Direct service also enables you to conveniently transfer money through SABB ATMs.First, add the beneficiary on SABBNET by following the above steps. Once you have saved thebeneficiary, you may access it through SABB ATMs by following the below steps.

1. Insert your SABB debit card into the card slot of the SABB ATM.2. Verify your PIN.3. Select 'Transfer' from the menu.4. Access the saved Visa Direct beneficiary.5. Enter the amount you want to transfer in Saudi Riyals or the beneficiary's local currency.6. Once done, you will be shown the amount that will be sent to the beneficiary in Saudi Riyals orthe local currency.7. Enter the security code you received via SMS and press send.8. Depending on whether the beneficiary's bank has the 'Fast Fund' or 'nonFast Fund' feature, yourmoney will be transferred either instantly or within up to 48 hours (Two working days).
