We hope you enjoy your visit to the Wooster campus of The Ohio State University. This campus is home to the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC), the Agricultural Technical Institute (ATI) and Secrest Arboretum. OARDC facilitates the research conducted by the university’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences and is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of Ohioans through research on food, agriculture, family and the environment. At any given time, our researchers are engaged in more than 400 research projects aimed at producing safe, healthy, affordable food and agricultural products that promote stewardship of natural resources and the environment — keeping Ohio positioned favorably in a global economy and benefiting you and your family. ATI is an associate degree program offering 31 programs of study. Students who want a four-year degree can transfer credits to the Columbus campus. Secrest Arboretum is an expansive outdoor laboratory and landscape garden, home to thousands of native and introduced species and cultivars of trees, shrubs and other plants. Our campus welcomes visitors for self-guided tours seven days a week during daylight hours. We encourage you to explore our campus and facilities here in Wooster and hope your visit will provide you with a better understanding of the work in which our scientists are engaged. Guided tours are available for groups of 10 or more during normal operating hours. A minimum two-week advance notice is required, and dates are subject to availability. Contact OARDC’s Public Relations Office for current rates, policies and availability. Our faculty and staff welcome the opportunity to share with you how we are accomplishing our mission. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact them during normal business hours. The areas on the map identified with an can also provide additional information about specific attractions such as the Garden of Roses of Legend and Romance. In addition to its Wooster and Columbus locations, OARDC also has nine outlying agricultural research stations across the state. We hope you’ll visit one or more of those locations as well, to learn about our various research projects. For more information on special events and activities or on visiting one of our locations, call 330-202-3507 or send an email to [email protected]. We hope you enjoy your visit to the Wooster campus.
