Ver a Jesús requiere dedicación, devoción y sinceridad, compromiso personal.

Some Greeks approached Philip and put this request to

him: “Sir we wish to see Jesus.” Philip is a good choice

for arranging such an audience because it was Philip

who introduced Nathaniel to Jesus. However, it was also

Philip to whom Jesus put the challenge, “ Where shall

we buy bread for these people to eat” before the miracle

of the multiplication of the loaves. Philip failed that test

of faith because of his inability to see beyond the meager

human resources at hand. And one cannot truly "see”

Jesus unless he recognizes and accepts the Lord’s infi-

nite authority, power, and majesty.

Moreover, in order to see Jesus, we must first know

how to find him. Jesus instructs us: “where I am, there

shall my servant be also.” However, service of the Lord

does not mean subservience, but rather discipleship:

“Let him follow me.” To see Jesus requires dedication,

devotion, and wholehearted, personal commitment.
