WELCOME TO OUR FINAL EZINE
We are ENTER – Enterprise in Interface. Interface areas where conflict is a present threat are increasingly common across European cities and urban areas. The conflicts are generally religious, ethnic or politically motivated and result in an increase in economic and social disadvantage for the people living in these interface areas. The ENTER Project has been designed to counteract some of these problems.

ENTERE N T E R P R I S E I N I N T E R FAC E
After two years of working on the ENTER project and its results, the project is now closing. In the past two years we have established 4 regional partnerships in Ireland, Croatia, The Netherlands and Northern-Ireland. These “Enterprise in Interface Alliances” involved stakeholders from public, private and non-profit sectors and worked together to increase their understanding of the needs and opportunities for successful entrepreneurship in interface communities.
To support the establishment and development of these regional partnerships we developed the ENTER Toolkit: a guide to Establishing a Regional Partnership. This toolkit is a resource that offers a “steps to” guide on how to develop a Regional Partnership. It also provides the user with general information and examples about the ENTER project, and shares templates to be used or adapted by other Partnerships across Europe for local use.
The toolkit is available for download via this link:http://www.enterproject.info/toolkit/
What has ENTER achieved?
ENTER’s principal goal was to increase access to continuing
education and training for individuals
living in interface areas by:
----Establishing four
“Enterprise in Interface Alliances”. These
alliances involved stakeholders from
public, private and non-profit sectors working together to increase their understanding of
the needs and opportunities for successful
entrepreneurship in interface communities
----Creating, publishing and promoting the
“Enterprise in Interface Toolkit” to encourage the creation of further
Alliances across Europe.
----Developing and
publishing a course curriculum and
learning materials to train practitioners on emerging social
enterprise models and the skills they need to effectively recruit and
teach participants from vulnerable backgrounds.

ENTERE N T E R P R I S E I N I N T E R FAC E
The ENTER course is available online. There are two versions: the online course and the classroom course. The online course is a specially designed online learning programme which you can access at a time that suits you.
The course is designed for those interested in using a community-based approach to address, reduce, end or prevent conflict or cultural indifferences including for VET and Enterprise Support providers and community development organisations working with those from vulnerable backgrounds/those in interface zones. Each module has three different training resources:
1. PowerPoint/PDF presentation2. Trainer’s Guide3. Learners Workbook
You can download the course as a zip file. Although the classroom course is designed as a complete curriculum, each module can be used as a stand-alone session. Therefore, each module starts with a basic introduction about the topic. If you want to concentrate on a specific topic you can jump in at your point of interest – although using the whole course is suggested.
All the ENTER results are available online on our project website:
