Expectations• Arrive on time! The final bell rings at 7:50am!

• Breakfast ends at 7:40am on the dot. Your child needs to arrive by 7:30am to have enough time to drop book bag off in the classroom and still have enough time to get to the cafeteria!

• Return blue folders EVERYDAY!

• Homework

• Send note for transportation changes and EMAIL (if you have access)!!

Odds and Ends• No dismissal after 2pm

• We love to celebrate birthdays!

• Must be store bought

• Please bring an extra set of clothes to store at school in case of accidents. Tshirt/Long sleeve shirt and Pants!

• Wear tennis shoes everyday!

• Scholastics Readers Club

• Please send snack on or before your assigned day

Supplies needed: expo markers ( black, blue, red), wet wipes, playdoh, spiral notebooks to be used for reading workshop

Homework

•Homework weekly

• Read each night and color on recording sheet!

•Good habits: Routine, in a quiet spot, let your child complete independently and then review

• Should be a quick task. Then students can practice sight words, writing, etc.

Sight Words• Whole list was given out at Sneak-a-Peek

• Currently working on August words

• Practice each night. Say it, spell it, say it

• Practice writing/spelling the words

• We will have 4 sight word celebration parties this year. Dates TBA
