Work Flow – Details• Application forms are received in the field offices of

the department. After physical verification, the forms are sent for data entry

• There is provision for scanning and up loading of

application forms at the data entry level. So the physical movement of the application from one office to another is not required.

• The data entry operator, after making the entries, forwards the application to the verification officer- Assistant Director-by just clicking of a button.

Work Flow – Details

• The verification officer can also verify the application and the details entered by the data entry operator. He, after his verification forwards it to the higher officer- Registrar (Deputy Director)

• He in turn forward it to the Zonal Joint Director-the final approving authority (wherever applicable)

• The joint Director after his approval, print the certificate,

paste the security hologram, laminate the certificate and issued to the field offices for distribution to the applicants.

1. The owner or in the case of joint ownership shall apply to the registrar of the port for permission to do so. The registrar after making enquiry forward the application with his recommendation thereon the Director general of shipping for approval. after approval, new certificate will be issued.

2.Where the title to the Indian fishing boat devolves (pass to) on any person by operation of law, such person shall apply to the registrar specifying the circumstance in which he has acquired title to the fishing boat and also adducing evidence (give a fact as proof). of such acquisition(acquirement, possession). In this case supporting document for evidence of such acquisition is needed for – issue certificate

Where the fishing boat is registered in the name of a person as the guardian of the minor , the ownership of the fishing boat shall remain with the minor and on attainment of majority he may apply to the registrar for altering entries in the registrar . . In this case new RC shall be issued. And no fee be charged

4. The registry of an Indian Fishing boat may be transferred from one port or place to another port or place in India on the application of the owner of the fishing boat in accordance with such rules as may be made in this behalf. In this case fresh certificate will be issued .

A change shall not be made in the name of an registered except in accordance Indian Boat The name of an Indian fishing boat under which it has been registered shall not, after such registry, be altered or changed except with the approval of the registrar. Every application for the change of name of such fishing boat shall be made to the registrar of the fishing boat's port of registry and shall specify the reasons for the proposed change. The registrar may, if be is satisfied that the change proposed is reasonable and necessary, approve such change.
