the staff of Revive Our Hearts, begins Sunday, June 3. Sarah Ryder will lead us through this study as we learn how it is possible to experience joy even when life brings fear, sorrow, and uncertainty our way. Through the life of the apostle Paul, we will see that joy is possible because of the life, death, and resurrection

of Jesus. You will want to order this workbook soon, so be sure to see Sarah or send her an e-mail at [email protected].

Author Carrie Gaul will be visiting on a Sunday and presenting a program open to all the ladies of McCoy who choose to attend, whether enrolled in the class or not..

Checkpoint Bible Camp

The cost of Checkpoint Bible Camp is $60 per camper if paid

chosen to subsidize the cost. The cost will go up to $85 after

Pastor Ray. Registration began on April 15th

and can fill up very quickly so don’t delay!

If anyone has some older photos of the McCoy Church building, especially those prior to the construction years or in the stages in between, we would love to see them. Please e-mail them to [email protected] or if they are prints, you can bring them to church and leave them in the secretary tray, or give them to me (Kristi), Jennelle Bayes or Joy Miller. Please make sure to label them clearly with your name if you would like them back.

When You Love an Addict Wisdom and Direction

by Philip G. Monroe, PsyD

Loving an addict is incredibly painful. Not only do you have to watch them make the same mistakes over and over

again, but along the way they often lie to you, hurt you, and betray you. And yet, against all odds, you still love

them and hope and pray for change. Drawing on his years of counseling experience, Philip Monroe helps you to see

beyond the confusion that so often swirls around addiction and into the truths about the struggle and what the road to recovery really looks like. Along the way, he reminds you you’re your God cares deeply for you and for the addict in your life and is working to bring redemption and healing.

Would you like to give someone a bit of encouragement or thank someone for something? We have quick and easy way for you to drop someone a note. We have encouragement & thank you cards on the table in the lobby which you can take and write short note. You can then leave it in their church mailbox, hand it to them, or even “secretly” tuck it in their Bible or purse.

Did you know that we have several documents and e-mail lists that can be sent to you on a regular basis so you can read them on your computer,

phone or tablet? If you are interested in any of the following, please e-mail [email protected].

New Ministry: Cardio Drumming

Watch for more details coming soon & follow our new Facebook page!

https://www.facebook.com/McCoyCardioDrumming/ First class, Thursday June 7th at 6:30

What is Cardio Drumming? Classes combine traditional aerobic movements with the powerful beat and rhythm of drums. Instead of

beating on a drum, however, people whack a large exercise ball with a pair of drumsticks, (the ball sits in a large bucket). Anyone can do it, regardless of age, fitness level or physical limitations. Music is played and the participants follow along to

a routine created by one of the instructors. Questions: See Esther Flora, Emily Martin or Kristi Martin
