Science Projects

We have lots of projects going on in school these are some of our Science work, such as

Year 3 Year 4 Sound, light and materials Year 5 Electricity and materials Year 6 Light and plants

Our fruit and milk store

We have the fruit store because we want to keep our school healthy and fit ready for work.

We have oranges, bananas, apples,pears and we have cold cold milk to keep our bones strong

We also go on trips

We have been to Oak wood and it was really fun and all the rides were fantastic.

We also went to the university to work on our circus skills and we also went to arts and crafts to make cards and to finish it of we went to the planetarium to learn about the galaxy and it was brilliant.

Our Concerts

We think they are fun We think they are enjoyable Always worth seeing!!! We really enjoy the acting Doing funny voices for our characters SINGING IS BRILL!!

Our school lockers

When we get in to year 6 we have our own locker to keep all our private possessions

The New School Climbing Wall

Our new climbing wall was the result of a community project

We are looking forward to the drier weather so that we can use it!!

It looks really fun and it also has a target board.

We can’t wait for the summer

School Playground

We have decided on the new school playground equipment for the new term.

We hope that this will be a success the same as our milk and fruit Tuck shop.

We’re Reading a Million Words in Wales

We have been asked to read a million words by the end of 2007

We have diaries to help us to do this Did you know in an average novel for

Year 6 there are 25,000 words. This means that if we read 4 books a

month we will complete in less than a year!!!!!!

Competitions 2006/7

We took part in designing a logo for a new valley radio station and 2 of our friends won a special morning designing professionally their logo. Let’s hope one of theirs gets picked!

Year 6 are taking part in the SAFE project and we are making a rap for a presentation evening in Ferndale Community School.

Year 6 will also be designing a logo for a recycling project.

The choir have visited Tievy House
