Frontier Federal

Ground breaking on the current CityCentral building was June 3, 1975.Frontier Federal Savings and Loandedicated the $5 million dollarbuilding in Nov, 1977.

The next owner of Frontier FederalSavings and Loan was HeartlandFederal Savings and Loan whichacquired the company, and thebuilding, in 1988.

Bank of the West

1993 saw Commercial Federal Bank ofOmaha Nebraska purchase HeartlandFederal Savings & Loan.

In 2005, Bank of the West boughtCommercial Federal Bank of Omaha andoccupied part of the building until 2008.Shortly thereafter, the bank was purchasedby a realty company out of OKC andmanaged by local realtors.

City Central is CreatedThe realty company donated the building and $200,000 to the City of Ponca City in 2016 and the Ponca City Development Authority accepted the building to renovate and manage in August 2019.

PCDA became the owner of City Central on behalf of Ponca City in Dec, 2016 utilizing the building and funds donation as the basis for a $1.25 million matching Economic Development Administration federal grant.
