Welcome to Harmony Cabin! We hope you have arrived safely and had no trouble finding our cabin. We know you must be ready to relax and start your vacation, and we want you to make yourself at home. We strive to make sure that everything is in working order; however, we also understand that things do happen. As in any home, appliances, hot tubs, A/C and heating units, cable TV, fireplaces, etc. may malfunction on occasion and while we cannot offer any refunds or discounts for such malfunctions we will make every effort to correct any issue as soon as possible during regular business hours. Please report all maintenance issues immediately.

● The road TN-71 that connects Pigeon Forge to Gatlinburg is called “The Spur”. If driving south out of Pigeon Forge:

● Take a LEFT on King Branch Road. This will take you across a bridge to the Spur on the other side.

● Take a LEFT & cross traffic carefully to the Rt lane, in 200 ft● Take an IMMEDIATE RIGHT off the Spur and go about 85ft● Then RIGHT again onto King Branch Road. Go 0.9 miles.● Turn Right onto Silver Poplar LN You will see a Sky Harbor

Sign. Follow this road for about 0.9 mile to a stop sign.● Go through the stop sign (stop first).● At the next road turn RIGHT to continue on Silver Poplar

Lane.● Continue up the road for a mile watching for the signs –

There are a few curves and a few places that get a little steep.● You will clearly see addresses of 1813 and 1818 Silver Poplar

Lane – Harmony will be the next house – you will see the Harmony sign on the right-hand side of the road.

● Park in the driveway - there is parking for 2 cars.● There is an easy turn around about 150 feet beyond the

cabin where there is an intersection if you need.

● I will send you a 10 digit code. (xxx-xxx-xxxx)● Type in this code hit (SCHLAGE) button, then turn the lock knob● When the code is entered correctly, you will hear the ascending tone

and while the (SCHLAGE) button is flashing green, turn the lock knob within 5 seconds to unlock the door.

● If it is dark, press the (SCHLAGE) button to illuminate the keypad then enter the code.

● To lock the door: Press the (SCHLAGE) button and turn the knob.● CREATE YOUR OWN 3 - 6 DIGIT PERSONALIZED CODE:

○ Enter your 10-digit Access Code.○ After hearing the ascending tone and while the (SCHLAGE)

button is flashing green, immediately (within 10 seconds) press the (SCHLAGE) button and key-in the 3-6 digit code of your choice, then press the (SCHLAGE) button to finalize your personalized code.

○ Use this for the rest of your stay: Your Code + (SCHLAGE) turn the knob.

● No Smoking inside Cabin ○ Outside is ok. Please use container

provided for cigarette butts and keep the doors and windows closed.

● No Pets or Animals allowed inside cabin.● No open fires (after the fire a few years ago they

are prohibited)● Please use makeup washcloths to remove

makeup - it will stain the white towels and pillow cases. There’s a $10

● Messy clean ups there are rags under the sink so you don’t have to use the bath towels.

● Fireplace is gas: Turn on the timer dial past 10 mins. If you are short of 10 mins, it may not turn off correctly. Sometimes the wind can blow the pilot light out on the fireplace. Let me know if it doesn’t start and I can talk you through it..

● Trash - Please keep all trash either inside or in the bear-proof garbage can outside. Trash will attract bears. If you have excessive trash or are staying for a long duration, there are several dumps you can take them. Good to Know


● Critters: Since it's a mountain vacation you're after, in addition to all the great aspects, just know it also includes: curvy, sometimes steep mountain roads, bugs, mice, scorpions, rattle snakes, bears, snowy/icy winter days, power outages, poor cell service, etc... We do our best to keep the critters out and have a pest control guy come out regularly to inspect the cabins, but every once in a while critters and crawlies do get in. We can not be held responsible for any run ins with wildlife and mother nature. It's part of the mountain adventure.

● If there is a bear outside, Do not approach or feed - make lots of noise - Set off your car alarm, clang a wood spoon against a pan. They will scare off.

● Families - Although the cabin is perfect for families, it doesn’t mean it’s CHILD-PROOF. It’s the responsibility of the guardian/parent to monitor their children's actions at all times.

● While we love a good party, this space is better suited for more mellow celebrations. Guests who have unauthorized parties/events will be responsible for extra cleaning charges and extra guest fees.

● Please be courteous to the neighbors and keep the noise down after 10:00PM.

● Hot tub - The best place to soak in the view!○ NO soap products in the hot tub.○ Don’t set temp higher than 104.○ Cover when not in use.○ Use hot tub at own risk.

● BBQ - Feel free to enjoy the propane BBQ. Please make sure BBQ is clean before you leave. Our cleaners aren’t fans of grill scraping and we’ll need to charge an extra $20 cleaning fee.

More Good to Know

Thermostat● To adjust the thermostat, there’s only a few

buttons you need to know:○ Mode: Select Heat or Cool○ Arrow Keys: Adjust temperature

If you turn on the fireplace during the winter, and the cabin heats up. Don't turn on the AC to cool it down. Please open windows or doors to cool the place down. The AC won't work properly when it is cold outside, and may do permanent damage to the AC unit. You will be billed for the repairs if this happens.

● Upstairs TV is a smart TV - Hulu Live (has sports channels as well as most of the channels you’ll see with cable) is provided along with Netflix for movies. Feel free to sign into your own accounts on Roku if you want, but don’t forget to sign out of your accounts when you leave. Feel free to contact me to log you in if the previous guest signed out. I can sign you in remotely.

● The Downstairs TVs have Roku - the Roku remote will turn the TV on and navigate the channels! Hulu Live and Netflix are available on these as well.

● Here’s a sampling of channels you can access from Hulu Live if you are unfamiliar with it.:

❏ Turn off all lights.

❏ Thermostat: Winter: Set HEAT to 60 / Summer: Set COOL to 75

❏ Place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher, drop in a dishwashing detergent packet

and start it. Easy! (Better than having to pay an extra $20 cleaning fee)

❏ Put used towels in main floor bathtub.

❏ Leave all bedding and pillows on the beds.

❏ Dispose of all unused food. No food left on the counters or fridge please.

❏ Place all trash inside trash can in the bear-proof cage outside. Anything that

doesn’t fit in the bins, please leave inside the cabin so we don’t feed the bears!

❏ Put away any games/musical instruments used during your stay

❏ Hot Tub: Cover & set temperature to 96°.

❏ Close and lock all doors and windows.

❏ Report any damaged or missing items to: [email protected].
