A FINANCIAL UPDATE….. AND, IT’S ALL GOOD NEWS !!! The weekly message in the “Stewardship Corner” of the Bulletin has consistently noted that our current budget projection for the year ending June 30th is a <$20,000> deficit. This is a reduction from our original budget deficit of <$68,000> and credit goes to your increased contributions and a mild winter.
Now that the fiscal year is nearly over, we have more good news!
Thanks to your contributions being greater than budgeted (+$35,000), a mild winter (reducing expenses by $15,000), no major repairs (saving another $20,000+), and assorted other cost savings ($20,000+), the new projection is that we will end the fiscal year with a surplus! This is a remarkable turnaround, which could not have happened without your generosity, a cost-conscious staff, and some good luck! It should be noted that we received a large unexpected donation in April which has helped considerably. Thank you for your help! Of course, your continuing assistance in offering your time, talent, and treasure will be needed as our parish continues to serve Our Lord by ministering to His people. As usual, the Parish Annual Financial Report will be distributed in early Fall.
Fr. Tony, Finance Commission, and
Chuck Mazza, Director Administrative Services
Retirement Celebration Update Please note that on Sunday, June 10, the 8:00am, 9:30am and 10:30am Masses at both North Lake and Monches will be cancelled. The only Mass celebrated that morning will be the 11:00am Mass at the Chandelier Ballroom as part of Fr. Tony’s Retirement Event. The 4:30pm Mass on Saturday, June 9, will be celebrated as usual. Thank you for your responses to the invitation – we are now expecting over 700 people to be in attendance on June 10! Please plan on arriving early so Mass can begin on time. Seating will be assigned in advance and will be indicated on your nametag. Water will be available all day, but other beverages need to be purchased at one of the three bars at the Chandelier. Also, if your plans change or someone in your family is unable to attend, please call Mary Jo at the parish office, 966-2191, so we can give the caterer, Zilli’s, an accurate number. It is important to note that there will not be extra seating for the Mass or the luncheon. With the large number attending, ALL SEATS ARE RESERVED FOR THOSE WHO SENT BACK THEIR RESPONSE CARDS!
WE ARE AT CAPACITY!! Thank you!

Attention parish bakers! The SVDP Society needs your help with their Summer Lunch Program. Last year's homemade cookies were a hit with the kids, especially the Rice Krispie bars. We're feeding 150 children and decided to offer these desserts two days instead of one this year. One day will feature any homemade cookie you'd like to bake. The basics are their favorites, chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal raisin (3 per child=450 cookies!). Another day we'll treat them with Rice Krispie Bars (will need 150), another favorite. (Next year we'll get to the brownies and whatever other tantalizing treat you can come up with!) We really appreciate your help in making our bag lunches special to the needy kids in our county. Thanks for your help and keep on smiling. God bless your talents!

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS The Knights of Columbus thanks the members of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta for the $517.00 collected after the Masses for the Campaign for Intellectually Handicap (Tootsie Roll). The local Kettle Moraine Council collected over $7400.00 in the community and will have this money available to support local needed agencies that provide care for the handicapped. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. We are looking for men to join the Knights of Columbus who would be willing to spend a few hours a year in promoting our main lesson of charity.

Prayer for Vocations O God, you sent your Son, Jesus, to bring eternal life to those who believe. I join him in praying for laborers for your harvest. May your Holy Spirit inspire men and women to continue his mission through your priesthood, diaconate, religious life and lay ministry. May this same Spirit make known your will for my life. Amen.
