**Summer Internships**

Stems Outreach Programs in Ag

Howdy Ags!

Introducing the newest internship opportunity at the Texas A&M University at Qatar campus!

As part of a team of undergraduate interns, selected students will research, plan and build an agricultural program for

high school students to design a hydroponic gardening system. Engaging students in hands-on learning that challenges

these aspiring engineers to solve real-world problems, the program will teach fundamentals of agriculture, science and

engineering. Interns will be assigned to develop the lesson plans for a program that involves the teaching of hydroponic

and vertical gardening theories, plant growth cycles and system engineering. The hydroponic system should monitor

environmental and physicals factors using sensory inputs, have automated watering and lighting controls, and be a viable

option for classroom instruction in Qatari schools. Over the two-week program, the interns will guide their teams through

the development and completion of the project.

Please see the attached flyer for more details!
