It is my honor and great pleasure to invite you to join us at The 16th Asia - Oceania Congress of Endocrinology (AOCE) that will be held on 27th - 30th September 2018 at Ambarrukmo Hotel, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The theme chosen for this important meeting is Endocrinology and Environment.

We are expecting a great number of attendees from all the member of FESAO (Federation of Endocrine Societies of Asia and Oceania) and also from other continents. Let’s meet up and enhance our contact and friendship in this ancient city.

The scientific committee is currently putting together the program contents and it is going to be rich, inspirational and exciting. The conference aims to provide updated information and challenging evidences to all topics relating to endocrinology. In addition to the main sessions, we will be presenting a concurrent session designed specifically for family physicians, addressing their role in the treatment of endocrinology diseases. We will also be looking at current controversies and some special case considerations. To round out our program, we would like to also invites abstract(s) submissions that will be competed in form of oral and poster presentation.

Yogyakarta is truly a unique meeting destination. This and ancient city located in central Java and its ornate 18th - century royal complex, or kraton, encompasses the still-inhabited Sultan’s Palace. The great Borobudur and Prambanan temple is easily reach from Yogyakarta city.

EXHIBITION:The committee will organized an exhibition in conjunction with congress, featuring the lates pharmaceutical, instrumentations, and medical equipment for clinical managements and research. Companies interested in participation in exhibition may request for details from the congress secretariat.

The exhibition will opened from 08.00 – 17.00, 28th – 30th September 2018. The exhibition will take place at the Kesultanan 1 Ballroom that is also located in Royal Ambarrukmo Hotel, Yogyakarta – Indonesia.

LETTER OF INVITATION: The organizing committee will send a letter if invitation upon request. This invitation is intend to facilitate participant’s travel and visa arrangement and did not imply any commitment of financial or the other support by the organizing committee. Please include your name, address, and a note relating a letter of invitation.

ABSTRACT INFORMATIONGUIDELINES AND GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Topic for abstracts of free paper and poster presentation must be relevant to Endocrinology Area. Please kindly pay attention to the following guidelines

1. General Guidelines• There are two types of presentation: Poster and oral (podium) presentation• Committee will decide on the final presentation type (oral presentation or poster)• Please keep to the limit of 350 words including title and abstract text• Please write the author’s name and affiliation• Please Note: graphs / tables / images should not be included in the abstract.• Abstract should be prepared in Microsoft Word, using a 12 point Arial text font with single line

spacing• It is the author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract. Any errors in spelling, grammar or

scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the author.• The abstract should have a short, specific title (containing no abbreviations) that indicates the

nature of the investigation. Title should be in uppercase & boldface font. The title should not exceed 20 words

• Abstract must be accompanied by payment of the registration fees. If the abstract is sub sequently not accepted for presentation, the registration fee will be refunded to the author if the author decides not to join the AOCE Meeting

2. How to Name and Send the Abstract• File name format: Presenter name-abstract name• For online submission of abstract and for guidelines please log on to www.aoce2018.org/abstract/

submit-for-abstract or send via email with attached Microsoft word file to [email protected] before the deadline in order to be sent for review and approval prior to its inclusion in the scientific program

• Last date for submission of abstract is Tuesday, 31st July 2018• Notification of abstracts acceptance will be sent by e-mail by 15th August 2018

3. Abstract Guidelines (350 words)• Background/Rationale: Indicate the purpose and objective of the research, the hypothesis that was

tested or a description of the problem being analyzed or evaluated• Methods: Describe the setting/location for the study, study design, study population, data collection

and methods of analysis used• Results: Present as clearly and detailed as possible the findings/outcome of the study, with specific

results in summarized form. Inclusion of gender breakdown of data is strongly encouraged• Findings or Conclusion: briefly discuss the data and main outcome of the study. Do not begin

sentences with numerals. Standard abbreviations may be used without definition• Finding• Keywords

4. Instructions for the Preparation of Oral Presentations When combining video films with PowerPoint for oral presentation, please note the following points:

• Please note that the conference computers in the session halls are being supplied with Windows 7 and Office 2013.

• Insert pictures as JPG or PNG files (and not TIF or PICT - these images will not be visible on a PowerPoint based PC).

• Use a common movie format, such as MP4 and WMV (MOV files from QuickTime will not be Visible on a PowerPoint based PC).

• Presenter cannot use his or her own laptop• Please submit the presentation file at Slide Counter at the latest 3 hours before presentation time• Equipment Supplied: LCD Projector hooked up to a desktop or laptop, laser pointer• Bring your presentation on USB jump/flash drive or CD

5. Instructions for the Preparation of Poster• Each poster board measures 120 cm height and 90 cm width.• It must fit within frame and easily readable from a distance of one meter or more. It shouldΩinclude• brief written selections, methods, result and conclusion of presented study

ENTITLEMENTSRegistered participants are entitled to admission to all scientific session including AOCE Dinner, trade exhibits, scheduled coffee breaks as well as lunches. Participation at Instructional Corse Lectures and Workshops have to be registered separately. Each participant will receive a name badge and congress kit containing the final program/ abstract book. Residents must submit a letter or reference from his/her institution in order to registered as a Resident and enjoy the same entitlement as other participants.

REGISTRATION FEE All participants including paper and Poster presenters must register for the meeting. Registration is valid when the committee has received the registration form and respective payments. To register, please complete the registration form and email together with your payment evidence to the secretariat at [email protected] or online registration at www.aoce2018.org.

ROOM RATES Hotel room rates at special rate are being held for the congress participants. All rates are per night and per room included breakfast. Reservation must be made through the congress secretariat to guarantee the indicated rates negotiated for the congress

HOTEL RESERVATION Hotel assignment will be made on a “FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS”. If a certain hotel have been booked out. Committee has the right to allocate in another hotel with similar standard. The following hotels may be made through congress secretariat
