Dear Parents I would like to introduce myself to you as the new University & Career Counselor here at RIS. It is my pleasure to support your son or daughter this year as they explore university and career options, and begin the application process. Starting in September I will be offering guidance to grade 12 students as they begin applications to university. Throughout the year, a myriad universities from around the world will be visiting our campus to share details with your child and you about their particular programs. This is a great opportunity for students in grades 9-12 to make personal contact with admission representatives. In this dynamic international setting our students and families are exploring regions that have varying application deadlines, testing requirements, etc. There will be presentations planned this year that focus on applying for universities in different countries or regions. These events will be advertised regularly through Managebac, 6 Delta and the RIS Facebook page. I have an open door policy and invite students and parents to visit my office. Contacting me for appointment at jjones@ris.ae is also very much welcomed and will allow us more time to meet. I am also readily available for email correspondence.
