Jim Bolton is a Certified Value Specialist-Life (CVS-Life), a Professional in Value Management (PVM), a Fellow of SAVE International (FSAVE), and currently the President of SAVE International®. He is employed as President of Bolton Value Consulting, LLC established in August 2014 to support organizations whom are interested in improving the value they deliver to their customers. Previously, Jim was the Design for Value Global Lead for Whirlpool Corporation where he developed a global Value Engineering and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly process within that corporation which was embedded into their Product Development Process globally. He has conducted numerous Module I Workshops globally where he was the advisor and mentor for over 300 certified AVS practitioners and where he developed a professional team of Regional Value Managers in every region where Whirlpool conducts business. Jim was elected as President of SAVE International® in June 2013 after completing several previous 2-year assignments as Executive Vice President, Vice President of Global Affairs, and Vice President of Manufacturing for SAVE International. In addition, Jim served as a Director on the Miles Value Foundation from 2004-2009 and is a co-author of the Value Methodology Memory Jogger which is the Body of Knowledge for SAVE International®.

Current SAVE International Initiatives

SAVE International® is in the process of preparing for ANSI accreditation and has completed step 1 of 3 - the gap assessment.

In addition, SAVE International is writing a Function Analysis/FAST guidebook which will be published (via the Miles Value Foundation) before the end of 2015.

The Certification Board of SAVE International® will be introducing a new entry level of Value Engineering Certification (possibly called ‘Value Team Member’ (VTM) before the end of 2015.

E-Learning Available on SAVE Website

SAVE International® introduces e-learning opportunities through Verified Learning.

Go to www.value-eng.org, click on education page and go down to Verified Learning Portal.

SAVE International® Verified Learning Portal

SAVE International® now offers an online platform for continuing education. Using the latest cloud technology, the service is provided through Verified Learning and is available anywhere at any time—and at your convenience.

The Verified Learning system offers:

Online training, testing, and verification

Reporting for individual members and SAVE

Storage of online training courses

Collection of fees.

SAVE will upload training courses and reference materials to the system. Materials will include video recordings, digital presentations, and papers and can include contributions from SAVE members, related organizations, and thir party authors. Profit sharing is available.

University Professors & Student Benefits Membership to SAVE International® is Free for

university students w/ an ‘.edu’ e-mail address.

The Miles Value Foundation (MVF) helps universities establish Value Education programs to spread the Value Methodology.

A contract with an interested University Professor is required, however, training and materials are provided for serious candidates.
