• One person speaking at a time

• What may be displeasing to you may be pleasurable to me

• Every person has value, something to share and something to learn; therefore, listen up!

• Let people speak their truth and believe them when they speak it.

• Give folks the benefit of the doubt.

• People make mistakes. No-one’s perfect.

• When you misspeak or are offended by another person’s comments, talk to the person.

• Embrace your time at Wharton as a stretch experience

Keep in Mind…

In your group, have everyone go around and introduce yourself, but with providing the history of your name, spending no more than about a minute or two per person.

Specifically, answer the following questions:

• Where did you get your name from?

• Were you named after anyone? If so, who? And what does that person mean to you?

• What do you love about your name?

• What are some things that frustrate you about your name, if any?

• What does your name mean to you?

• What are some misconceptions, if any, about your name?
