Welcome Back All who wish to attend Mass will be required

to sign-up in advance at: https://sttheresachurch.org/mass-reservations/

Per archdiocesan safety guidelines and for contact tracing purposes, we need the names of every individual who will be attending mass.

If you (or if you know someone) are not able to register online due to a lack of internet access, please call the parish at 847-358-7760 and someone will get back to you to discuss arrangements for you to attend.

Pre-Mass registration needs to be done to allow for the current mandate which requires large gatherings to offer some system of contact tracing if someone gets sick. Attendance records will be destroyed every 14 days.

Masks will be required of all participants and they will be required to use hand sanitizer as they enter the church.

Greeters will assist you in finding your seats once you enter the Gathering Space and will assist you when you depart after Mass is concluded.

Seats will be sanitized before each Mass and social distancing will be observed at all times.

Hymnals and other worship aids will not distributed, but you will be given instructions on how to download the Mass parts on your phone.

The Archdiocese asks that you receive Holy Communion on the hands at this time and we will not yet be able to offer the Precious Blood.

As all will enter on the Dolan Center side of the church, you are encouraged to park in the Dolan Lot.

NOTE: An individual is not required to disclose a COVID-19 diagnosis. However, anyone who has been to a Mass or other prayer event in our church is strongly encouraged to self-report to our pastor, Fr. Tim Fairman at 847-358-7760 x. 101, if they should test posi ve. PADS 2020

When COVID-19 restrictions began, Journeys and the PADS program had to stop providing shelter to our area’s homeless in its normal way, at church halls and gymnasiums, one night at a time. However, because COVID also caused hotel space to open up, PADS was able to contract rooms and has been sheltering 75 persons inside since the early days of the pandemic.

The change has been “phenomenal” according to Journeys. Its employees have been able to work more consistently with each person, and make improvements in physical and mental health. Removing the anxiety of having to move from place to place has been a game-changer for many individuals.

Journeys relies on donations of money, supplies and food for their work, and right now their greatest need is money.

It’s Different Now! The 2020 Tootsie Roll Drive will roll with On-Line Donations and safe Drive-in Sites on

Saturday, September 19th!

Palatine, Illinois – August 24th, 2020. Due to the pandemic, the 2020 Tootsie Roll Drive will look very different. For the first time in decades, council volunteers will not be soliciting donations at Palatine street corners and stores. Instead, the Knights have created two new ways to accept your generous donations for the direct benefit of children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

SAT, SEP 19TH “NON-CONTACT” DRIVE-IN DONATION SITES FROM 9 AM - 1 PM. Volunteers will be accepting your cash and check donations at five parking lots in our community. You can find us at ST. THERESA PARISH *** PLEASANT HILL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL *** PLUM GROVE JR. HIGH SCHOOL *** WALTER R. SUNDLING JR. HIGH SCHOOL *** WINSTON CAMPUS JR. HIGH SCHOOL. From a safe social distance, volunteers with PPE will be carefully accepting your donations – and thanking you with a Tootsie Roll - using extension pole devices. Writing a check? Please make the check out to “Holy Ghost Council #4977”. Sorry, credit cards are not accepted at drive-in donation sites.

ONLINE DONATIONS NOW ACCEPTED AT WWW.PALATINETOOTSIEROLLDRIVE.COM. Unable to attend the Sep 19th drive-in donation event? Please contribute by clicking above. PayPal and major credit/debit cards welcome.

The need for your support continues despite the pandemic – perhaps more urgently than ever before ! Your donations directly benefit over a dozen local charities providing work, growth and enrichment opportunities for children and adults with special learning disabilities. The Palatine Knights (www.kofc977.org) are hopeful that you will once again rise to meet our community’s special needs and surpass last year’s total of $27,000. Your generosity is appreciated!
