Hope....because God's love has poured continuously into your heart through the Suffering....through the Endurance....and now through the gift of Hope of the Holy Spirit. You see the common thread of God's finger in your life that has gotten you to this moment in your life. "Character produces Hope....." Romans 5:4 And this crazy wonderful wild Hope......well, it's the very Heart of Jesus.

This week marks the beginning of Chapter 60 in the Life of Liz. And there's just something about being another year older that causes you to reflect back on Chapters 59 or 44 or 27 in your life. Don't get me wrong....I'm looking forward as much as I'm reflecting backwards, but when you look back on spent chapters in your life, you are able to see with clarity....20-20 vision in the Year 2020....the pouring out of Grace into your very soul. You remember the sufferings.....but you also see the ripples from your endurance muscles increasing because of those Chapters of Suffering.

"Suffering Produces Endurance....." Romans 5:3

And because your endurance muscles are more toned and strong now, your character starts changing. You start caring more for others than you do for yourself. Your heart starts breaking for the things that breaks God's heart. Those fancy clothes or expensive vacations you once treated yourself to for years, well.....they become less important as your character changes. Your focus changes to those who are suffering around you; suffering just as you once did, and you long to help them....instead of yourself. You start to take on the character of God.....

"Endurance produces Character....." Romans 5:4

And suddenly before you know it, you're already at Chapter 60 or 75 or 90, and you find this chapter is full of Hope. Hope....because God's love has poured continuously into your heart through the Suffering....through the Endurance....and now through the gift of Hope of the Holy Spirit. You see the common thread of God's finger in your life that has gotten you to this moment in your life.

"Character produces Hope....." Romans 5:4

And this crazy wonderful wild Hope......well, it's the very Heart of Jesus.

PoCkEt VERSE4 Therefore we have been buried with him by

baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.

Worship at 9:45 at the Stand in the Family Life Center.

Traditional Worship at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary.

We cannot celebrate the 8:30 a.m. Traditional Worship because the Sanctuary cannot be cleaned between the two Sanctuary Worship times.

Guidelines to safe worship:Masks are recommended for everyone's safety.•

We need to patiently enter the worship facilities one family group at a •time, maintaining 6 ft. distance between each group until an usher can seat us in worship.

When we exit, we will stay in our seats while we leave the building •one family group at a time and maintain 6 ft. distance back to your vehicle.

We cannot gather in the parking lot or in the entry/exit areas but need •to go directly to our seats in the worship area and directly to our vehicles upon exit.

Children will be seated with their family in worship .•

We will not be able to offer drinks, coffee, or doughnuts. •

If you are 65 or older or have underlying health conditions, we will support your personal decisions and continue to provide virtual worship opportunities as we have since mid-March.

We are not opening for Sunday School or other activities outside of Worship at this time.

Lunches of Love will continue this summer but in a different format because of COVID restrictions. Food will be delivered to children’s

families on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting on July 7.They will receive a hot meal plus additional foods such as fruit, breakfast items, milk, and other staples. Deliveries will be made according to bus routes. Children will also receive Bible related activity sheets each week. Bible stories and devotionals presented by familiar adults have been recorded and can be accessed by cell phone. Please pray for the volunteers and for all the children and their families who will be reached by Lunches of Love in a new way.
