Everyone claims their town is special. We can prove ours is. Each August a half million riders & motorcycle enthusi- asts descend on our streets. Here’s some perspective - the entire state of South Dakota is populated by just 833,000 spread over nearly 76,000 square miles. Every August, Sturgis hosts 500,000. That’s how a community of 6,700 residents became an internationally recognized br& synonymous with motorcycle culture, Americana, & the modern “Wild West.” This year, as we celebrate the 75th anniversary - the numbers could swell to or exceed one million. But that’s just a fraction of who we are. Sturgis sits on the precipice between the majestic rugged- ness of the Black Hills & a rolling prairie dotted with cattle ranches. Minutes from town, buffalo graze in the shadow of Bear Butte, the remnants of a long-dead volcano still held sacred by several Native American tribes. The Calvary post Sturgis was founded to serve, is now a bustling medical center serving America’s Veterans. How- ever, its rich past is still evident on the historic grounds & displayed at the Old Fort Meade Museum. On the corner of Main & Junction, the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum pays tribute to the Rally™ & the riders & ma- chines that are so tightly knotted in our past. Explore an incredible network of trails for hikers & mountain bik- ers that has in recent years become the stage for top endur- ance athletes from all over the world. You don’t have to be a top athlete to enjoy the sweeping views. Shop Main Street or eat at one of our many restaurants. Rest at our winery & vineyard at the mouth of spectacular Vanocker Canyon or sample local craft beers at the brewing company down- town. Enjoy supper & a movie at our dinner theater or a rock concert at one of our “biker bars.” We’re a short drive to such important & notable locations as Mount Rushmore, Badl&s National Park, Crazy Horse Monument, Wall Drug, several diverse cave systems, & Devil’s Tower. Additionally, we are happy to help you cus- tomize your trip here with gambling at Deadwood’s historic casinos, horseback riding, boating, snow- mobiling, skiing, or fishing. Whether you’re look- ing for motorcycle culture, military histo- ry, outdoor space, or small-town rural America - Sturgis is special. Let us show you why. Sturgis - take the ride. Everyone claims their town is special. We can prove ours

is. Each August a half million riders & motorcycle enthusi-

asts descend on our streets. Here’s some perspective -

the entire state of South Dakota is populated by just

833,000 spread over nearly 76,000 square miles. Every

August, Sturgis hosts 500,000. That’s how a community of

6,700 residents became an internationally recognized br&

synonymous with motorcycle culture, Americana, & the

modern “Wild West.” This year, as we celebrate the 75th

anniversary - the numbers could swell to or exceed one

million. But that’s just a fraction of who we are.

Sturgis sits on the precipice between the majestic rugged-

ness of the Black Hills & a rolling prairie dotted with cattle

ranches. Minutes from town, buffalo graze in the shadow

of Bear Butte, the remnants of a long-dead volcano still

held sacred by several Native American tribes.

The Calvary post Sturgis was founded to serve, is now a

bustling medical center serving America’s Veterans. How-

ever, its rich past is still evident on the historic grounds &

displayed at the Old Fort Meade Museum.

On the corner of Main & Junction, the Sturgis Motorcycle

Museum pays tribute to the Rally™ & the riders & ma-

chines that are so tightly knotted in our past.

Explore an incredible

network of trails for

hikers & mountain bik-

ers that has in recent

years become the

stage for top endur-

ance athletes from all

over the world. You

don’t have to be a top

athlete to enjoy the

sweeping views.

Shop Main Street or

eat at one of our many restaurants. Rest at our winery &

vineyard at the mouth of spectacular Vanocker Canyon or

sample local craft beers at the brewing company down-

town. Enjoy supper & a movie at our dinner theater or a

rock concert at one of our “biker bars.”

We’re a short drive to such important & notable locations

as Mount Rushmore, Badl&s National Park, Crazy Horse

Monument, Wall Drug, several diverse cave systems, &

Devil’s Tower. Additionally, we are happy to help you cus-

tomize your trip here with gambling at Deadwood’s historic

casinos, horseback

riding, boating, snow-

mobiling, skiing, or

fishing.
