Inserting a microSDHC™ Card or micro-SIM Card

Turn your Spro 2 upside down before you take out the microSDHC or micro-SIM card trays (microSDHC card sold separately).

Insert the tip of the tray eject tool into the hole on the microSDHC card tray.

Place the microSDHC card on the tray and install the tray back.

NOTE:The process of inserting a micro-SIM card is similar to microSDHC card installation.

Getting to Know the Home ScreenThe home screen is the starting point for your Spro 2’s applications, functions, and menus. You can customize your home screen by adding tabs, folders, or application shortcuts you need, or remove them as you like.

Working With TabsYou can customize the home screen by adding, renaming, or removing tabs.

Create a new tab.

To rename or delete a tab, touch and hold

the name.

To open a tab, touch the name.

To move an app to a different tab, touch

and hold the icon and drag it to the name of

the destination tab.

NOTE:Some default tabs, such as the HOME tab, the APPS tab, and the SETTINGS tab, can’t be deleted or renamed.

Turning On/Off the ProjectorThere are several ways that you can turn on or off the projector.

WARNING!

Do not look directly into the projection lens or point the lens toward people or animals’ eyes when the projector is on as this may cause injury to the eyes.• When your Spro 2’s screen is turned on, swipe up or down on the screen

with THREE fingers to turn on or off the projector.

• From the HOME tab of the home screen, touch the round button on the Projector widget.

• Drag the status bar down from the top of the screen and touch Projector below Control Switch.

WARNING!

Do not place anything near the ventilation port on the side of Spro 2 as this may cause internal heat buildup. Do not place your hand near the ventilation port as this may cause injury.

Adjusting the ProjectionWhen the projector is on, you can adjust projection focus, projection brightness and keystone distortion.To adjust projection focus and brightness:From the HOME tab of the home screen, touch the buttons on the Projector widget.

Turn on Auto Focus.

Adjust projection brightness.

NOTE:The projection brightness can be set to high only when the charger is plugged to Spro 2.

You can also press the Power key twice quickly to adjust projection focus.

To adjust keystone distortion:You can adjust keystone distortion to correct image during a tilted projection.

1. Touch > SETTINGS tab > Projector > Image.2. In the Keystone section, turn on automatic adjustment or touch “+” and “-”

to make manual adjustment.

Projecting Saved FilesTouch > APPS tab > File Manager. If the projector is off, turn it on.

Select a file location.

NOTE:After inserting a USB flash drive or a portable hard drive into the USB jack located on the back of Spro 2, touch USB DEVICE to find the files in the drive.

Projecting Using HDMI CableYou can easily project content from an HDMI-capable device, such as a laptop/PC or TV Set Top Box (STB).1. Connect your Spro 2 to an HDMI-capable device with the supplied HDMI

cable, and turn on the projector.2. Swipe down the status bar at the top of the screen and touch HDMI to

highlight it.3. On your HDMI-capable device, choose the content you want to display.

Projecting With MiracastYou can project media wirelessly from a Miracast-capable device to Spro 2.1. Turn on the projector.2. Swipe down the status bar at the top of the screen and touch Miracast to

highlight it.3. Open and enable Miracast or other Wi-Fi display app on your smartphone.

Select MF97B_T from the list of available devices.4. Touch Accept on your Spro 2. 5. On your Miracast-capable device, choose the content you want to display.

Remote ControlYou can use your Android phone to control Spro 2 with the remote control app.

To install the remote control app:

1. Touch > SETTINGS tab on Spro 2.2. Use your Android phone to scan the left QR code and then download and

install the remote control app in Google Play Store.To use the remote control app:

1. Turn on the remote control feature on Spro 2. Touch > SETTINGS tab > Projector > Control and turn on the Remote Control switch.

2. Connect your Android phone with Spro 2 by one of the following means.u Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network (for example, the

wireless router in your home).u Turn on the mobile hotspot feature of Spro 2 and connect the phone to

the hotspot.3. Open the remote control app on your phone and then the app will start to

connect to Spro 2.

NOTE:For the first time use or after you restart Spro 2, touch OK on Spro 2 to accept the connection.

Touch to turn the hotspot on or off.

Touch > SETTINGS tab > System > Network > Mobile Hotspot.

Touch to change your Network Name or Password.

The current Network Name of the hotspot.

NOTE:When the mobile hotspot is enabled, you will be disconnected from all Wi-Fi networks and can only access the Internet with mobile data service.

Connecting to a USB DeviceYou can connect a USB device (not included in the packaging) such as a USB flash drive, a portable hard drive, or a webcam to Spro 2 via the USB jack.1. Swipe down the status bar at the top of the screen and touch Connect to

USB stick to highlight it.2. Connect the USB device to Spro 2 via the USB jack.3. Use File Manager to check the files in the USB device, or open a video

chat app to make a video call when a webcam is connected.

Connecting to a ComputerConnect Spro 2 to a computer with a USB cable (not included) and transfer music, pictures, and other files in both directions.

1. Swipe down the status bar at the top of the screen and touch Connect to PC to highlight it.

2. Connect Spro 2 to the computer via the USB jack with a USB cable.

3. Touch Connected as … on the notification panel, and select Install driver or Media device (MTP).

FAQ

What’s the best projection distance?

The projection distance of Spro 2 is about 2.3 to 12 feet. For best results, project onto a non-reflective white flat surface at a 90° angle to Spro 2’s touch screen.

What is the eye protection feature?

This feature allows Spro 2 to lower projection brightness automatically when it detects its own quick movements. Touch > SETTINGS tab > Projector > Control and turn on/off the Eye protection switch.

Can I replace the micro-SIM card when Spro 2 is on?

Yes, the micro-SIM card can be installed or removed while Spro 2 is turned on.

What kind of SIM card can I use?

Please use a standard micro-SIM card, which you can get from T-Mobile. To avoid damage to Spro 2, do not use any other kind of SIM card, or any non-standard micro-SIM card cut from a SIM card.

Can I use a third-party charger to charge Spro 2?

Please use only approved chargers and cables. The use of unauthorized accessories may cause damage.

Can I remove or replace the battery of Spro 2?

Do not try to remove or change the built-in rechargeable battery in your Spro 2 by yourself. Doing so will violate the warranty policy from ZTE. Contact customer service at 877-817-1759 for support.

Why can’t Spro 2 be powered on even when it is charging?

If the battery is extremely depleted, you may not be able to power on Spro 2 even when it is charging. Allow it to charge longer and try again. Contact the customer service at 877-817-1759 if you still cannot power on Spro 2 after prolonged charging.

How to restart Spro 2 when it does not respond?

If the screen freezes or takes too long to respond, try pressing and holding the Power key for about 10 seconds to restart Spro 2.
