Our Savior Jesus Christ gave Himself up for us and rose again from the dead, that He might redeem us from all lawlessness and purify unto himself a people for His own possession who are zealous of good works (Titus 2:13-14). We have been saved by grace for God’s purpose – NOT OURS. We are recreated in Christ Jesus for good works (Eph 2:9-10). This zealousness, this want for good works flows from each person’s faith in Him and are expressions of our love for the we call Lord and Savior. Jesus does not need our works of love, but His body, the Holy Christian Church on earth does and the dying world around us does even more. The Savior who loved you, directs your of love for Him, to the feeding and care of His lambs and sheep in His Church. He sends your love for Him out into world, out into the lives of all people who do not yet know that He died and rose for them too. Since only faith working through love counts for anything (Gal 5:6), keep seeking Jesus and find the ways He has given you in your vocations to love the Lord Jesus Christ by sharing the love and life of Jesus Christ in the life of everyone in your life – because we all constantly need Jesus - everyday.
