The new Rødovre high rise is two towers dancing at the gate of the city of Rødovre. Situated on the west axis of Copenhagen, Rødovre marks the edge between Copenhagen and the rest of Denmark. However, it is under-celebrated for its gateway status. On the other hand, our site sits on an edge between two urban topologies, the traditional town houses to the east, and the modernist apartment high rises to the west. The design of our building emerges from the understanding of these contrasting conditions between the traditional and the new, the metropolis and the suburb. The design of towers aim to merge an outward orientation focusing on the city of Rødovre, with the inward interest on a dynamic public landscape.

Harbin grand theater is inspired by the landscape of the Songhua river. At the heart of the economic, cultural and spiritual identity of the city of Harbin, the river traces out a dynamic landscape, constantly changing its flow with the seasons and through the years. It leaves the history of its changing course in undulating patterns in the flat plains of the surroundings. The city sit back from the river, allowing its generous flood-planes to assume the role of a vast public space. New development leapfrog the river, expanding the city to the north. The theater is a major component of this new urban development.
The form of the opera house is inspired by the Songhua river; it is shaped as an extension of the river, flows of water and ice, a response to its force and spirit. This relationship between the architecture and the river evolves through the process of the design, moving from a gestural to an organizational relationship, from an organic expression to a refined iconicity. The building will be visible from both the old and new city, forging new identity for the Harbin skyline and new linkages between the north and south banks of the river. And yet, it remains a genuine and integral element of the landscape and a visible reminder of the power of the river as a shaping force. The result is a world-class performance venue and cultural institution, as well as a celebration of the spirit of the river and the city of Harbin.

Natural Processes
From the frosted local landscapes to the singular wood carving culture, this museum is a contrast between the elegance of nature and the speed of daily life. Its 200 meter long body is shaped as a frozen fluid that reflects and explores the relation between the building and the subject that inspired the art work .
The three vertical voids take cues from caves in glacier, day light flood in through skylights into the voids adjacent to the galleries, creating focal points, guiding for visitor into each museum. The two different exhibitions connected by a centralized entrance which both separates the two museums while simultaneously joining them.
COMPRESSIVE FITNESS CENTER4
CompressionWhen measured in different scales,
wind and sound lose or gain
resolutions based on its the respective
spatial and urban conditions. Through
the translation of variable wind
and sound resolutions in Dumbo’s
neighborhood, a new reading of
her urban environment emerges. The
same concept manifests itself through
the organization of our fitness center.
Inter-programmatic relationships are discovered through a resolution study of their appropriate functions. Volumetric studies
