Discussions

Having the camera pre booked for this week it had our group to be prepared on filming days. As this week was half term this had allowed us to film without having any time issues. With our teaching allowing us to collect the camera on Wednesday, it had enabled us to film immediately.

When first arriving to our location it tended to be frustrating for both our group and the manager of the location. The senior manager had gladly accepted our request to film on the platforms of the train station. However, making the journey to hire out wheelchair did become a hassle as on the day there must have been some sort of accident which resulted with huge amounts of traffic throughout the area.

By the time we had reached the wheelchair company the employees had been closing the store. Sadly, we couldn't persuade them from allowing us to hire the wheelchair. This had been a disappointing day for all of us as we had not produced anything on that day.

The following day we had set out to film, this time we had made sure that there was no traffic, we gladly went back to the train station, and the senior manager had refused to allow us to film on the platforms, this may have been due to the fact that trains were on a tube strike which could lead to us being in the way the station operates.

On the weekend we had went out to King George Hospital to capture footage in which our media teacher should include in order to make our short film more realistic and more dramatic. We had first spoken to the security team at the hospital and had requested to film two shots of ambulances coming to the hospital. This had taken a while as the hospital had not emergency calls coming. However, in the end the cinematographer was able to capture footage of a moving ambulance coming into the hospital.
