Church office hours are Monday through Friday 9 - 5 p.m. Announcements for the bulletin are due by Thursday at 5 p.m.

Small Groups meet various nights in homes and at the worship center.

YOUTH GROUP SCHEDULE

Middle School (Grades 6-8) meets on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Senior High (Grades 9-12) meets on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

LIVING WATER “2016” GUATEMALA MISSION TRIP dates have been set for June 12th – 18th, 2016. A sign-up sheet is out for those who are interested in going on a mission trip to Guatemala to help dig a fresh-water well for a community that does not yet have running water. WE NOW OFFER a class for 2-year-olds during the 2nd service only in Room 9, directly across the hall from the nursery.

ONLY 3 MORE WEEKS UNTIL VBS 2015 – ARROW ISLAND ADVENTURE (CHOOSING GOD’S WAY) which will be held for ages 3 to 93 on July 20TH – 24TH from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. (this is 15 minutes shorter than last year). This fun island adventure will show students the importance of choosing obedience, godly friends, kindness, courage, and active faith.

� VBS REGISTATION FORMS are due in now! And can be mailed here! Please register your children as soon as possible and before JULY 1st

so that we can purchase the right amount of supplies. You can also register online at www.myabundantlife.org.

� VBS VOLUNTEERS: please fill out a form and return it no later than July 1st. Even if you volunteer every year, we do not assume that you will be available this year unless we receive a form from you. Also, your T-shirt needs to be ordered.

� ATTENTION TO ALL VBS VOLUNTEERS-The assignments for VBS 15 staff are posted and may change before ARROW ISLAND starts as others get involved. Thursday July 9th at 6:45 pm there will be a gathering of volunteers. We will quickly go over our plans and distribute your supplies. Then each group can meet and discuss their ideas and expectations with their team. PLEASE ATTEND THIS IMPORTANT PLANNING SESSION. Prior planning prevents poor performance.

� VBS POSTERS are available at the information booth to take and display at your place of business. Or, if you know of a business that would be glad to hang it, please take one!

� VBS PROPS lists went home in the June 7 bulletin. Please pick up the list on the gold fliers at the VBS table if you did not receive one! Help us to transform Abundant Life Church into an Island Adventure! The items can be brought in after July 5

th.

Struggle-Free Living

Life is a struggle. To believe otherwise is to deny reality. Jesus died to set

us free from the struggle. When we surrender to the will of God as made

known to us through Christ and the Holy Spirit, we gain the ability to

diminish the struggle and to even put the struggle to rest. But, the choice

is ours. “Jesus must increase and I must decrease.” You think about that.

THANK YOU to everyone who brought children to On Goal Soccer Camp! We had a new record high attendance of 132 children. A BIG THANK YOU ALSO to those who housed the coaching staff and to everyone who provided meals and volunteered throughout the week. It was exciting to see that huge group of children learning the Bible and soccer skills.

HOLY COMMUNION WILL BE CELEBRATED SUNDAY, JULY 12th at 10:25 A.M. Please remain after the 9:00 a.m. service or arrive early for the 10:45 a.m. service so that we may share communion together as the body of Christ. If you happen to be in the lobby while the communion service is in progress, please maintain your conversation at a soft level for the benefit of those in the sanctuary.

NEW “FEED - FAYETTE” MINISTRY – Abundant Life Church along with Community Action Agency is beginning a new ministry in which we will prepare and serve a hot meal to those in need. The first meal will be a spaghetti dinner to be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Community Action, 137 N. Beeson Blvd., Uniontown. Volunteers are needed to serve food, to work in the dining room, and to deliver meals to seniors who cannot get out. Please sign up at the table to the left of the info booth. It is our goal to not only nourish bodies but to also nourish souls with the love and gospel of Jesus in our own community! “If we are the body…Why aren't His arms reaching?” Sign up now!!

ALC FRIDAY MOVIE NIGHT is FRIDAY July 10th at 7:00 p.m. Invite your friends and family for a fun evening out. Admission is free. Free popcorn and sodas too! Join us for the movie “LITTLE RED WAGON.” With nothing more than a blazing spirit of philanthropy and his beat-up red wagon, Zach sets out to help homeless children in America. SALVATION ARMY SCHOOL SUPPLY COLLECTION - The Salvation Army will be giving school supplies to children in our community on Friday, August 21

begin accepting donations on Sunday, July 5th and continue through Sunday, August
