Sunday SchoolThere will be no Sunday School (ages 2-5th grade) or Youth Ministries today. These ministries will also not meet

on Sunday, May 31 to allow families to engage in the sermon series finale “Make a Difference” together.

Sunday, June 7 families are encouraged to participate in our Make a Difference Sunday. Summer

programming for our Children’s & Youth ministries will resume during the 9:30 a.m. hour on Sunday, June 14.

dedicated to the glory of God and in celebration of the anniversary of the birth of the Christian

Quiet Time Workshop/RetreatYou are invited to “come away” for a quiet time with God on Saturday, May 30, 8:30

a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at a serene, peaceful lake 30 minutes from Omaha. Come away from

your hectic schedule, ringing phones, demands and our noisy culture for a day. Use this

day to recharge your spiritual batteries. You will be immersed in what a quiet time with

the Lord is all about, what I can look like and how you can enjoy the Lord and be

blessed in a new, fresh way. Cost is $20 and includes lunch and all materials. Space is

New HorizonsOur annual picnic will be held on Thursday, June 4, 11:45 a.m. at the La Vista Site in the Upper

Fellowship Hall. Pulled pork will be furnished and member are asked to provide food items to

Make a Difference SundayJoin us on Sunday, June 7, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. as we get out of the seats and into the

streets to serve our neighbors. Registration is available in the lobby or online at

www.bslcomaha.org. Registration deadline is TODAY!! Each volunteer is asked to bring a

canned food item for our Food Pantry to your job site. We are also in need of a few more

helpers for childcare that day which will be available only at the La Vista Site from 9:30 a.m.

- 1:30 p.m. We are encouraging our volunteers to take selfies that day and send them to

[email protected]. The Team & Spiritual Captian meeting has been moved

to Tuesday, May 26, 7:00 p.m. at the La Vista Site in the Upper Fellowship Hall. We are still in need of donations

of coolers, chips, cookies and bags of ice.
