L.I.F.T.Ladies in Fellowship Together will be meeting on Monday, May 16, 10:45 a.m. at Rotellla’s

Bakery on 108 & Harrison for a tour. The tour which starts promptly at 11:00 a.m., will be ath

Ruth CircleAll women of the congregation are invited to join Ruth Circle on Tuesday, May 17, 7:00 p.m. at the home of

Mary Beideck (10228 M Street) for our continuing study of the Gospel of Mark.

Confirmation CampAll students who have completed the first year of confirmation are encouraged to attend

Summer Confirmation Camp, June 3-11, at Lutheran Valley Retreat near Colorado Springs, CO.

Cost for the camp is $400 and includes transportation, lodging, meals at the camp and all

High School Summer Camp All High School Students are invited to join us for Summer Camp, June 3-11, at Lutheran Valley

Retreat near Colorado Springs, CO. Cost of the camp is $450 and includes transportation, lodging,

Financial Peace UniversityWe will be offering another session of Financial Peace University at the La Vista Site this summer.

The classes will meet on Monday nights, 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Upper Fellowship Hall at the La

Vista site beginning Monday, June 6 and running through Monday, August 8 with no classes on

Monday, July 4. You may register online at www.daveramsey.com . Unfortunately we will not

be able to offer childcare this time. Please contact Julie Korte ([email protected]) with any

questions.

VBSWe are in need of volunteers for both sessions!! We are looking for several Station Leaders,

as well as our normal high need of Crew Leaders. If you feel God may be calling you to

serve in this way, please contact Dina Newsom ([email protected]) for more

information. Training sessions are scheduled for both sites: Saturday, June 4, 9:00 a.m.;

Tuesday, June 7 & Wednesday June 8, 7:00 p.m. at the La Vista Site and Tuesday, June 14,

7:00 p.m. at the Northwest Site. A few spots are still available at the La Vista session and

plenty of spots are available at Northwest (Concordia High School, 156 & Fort).th

Preschool NewsAs our school year ends with Preschool graduation on Thursday, May 19, Pam Prazan would like to

take the time to honor 3 of the preschool staff who will be leaving: Grace Sillik (12 years), Madelyn

Boardman (10 years) and Zorayda Puente (3 years). All of them are pursing other areas of interest.

They will be missed immensely! Please help Pam honor these ladies and their years of service to the

preschool.

Greeters NeededWe are in need of more volunteers to serve as Greeters on Sunday mornings at the La Vista

Site. A warm smile and handshake can make a big difference to let those who enter our

doors know we care about them. We want to show Jesus in all we do here and this is a

Lydia HouseAngela Watt has organized a group of women who go down to the Lydia House on the 3rd

Saturday of the month to minister to the women and children living there. Their next visit is

scheduled for Saturday, May 21, 9:00-11:00 a.m. They are in need of donations for snacks, craft

items for the children and baked goods. Please contact Angela (402-637-7001) if you would

like more information, to volunteer or to donate.

LAMP CanadaThe LAMP Canada Mission team will be holding a “Everything’s a $1" bake sale on Sunday, May 29. If you are

interested in baking goodies for the team, please plan to drop off your items in the kitchen on Saturday, May 28

by 11:00 a.m.

Golf ScrambleThe 17 Annual Concordia Booster Club 4 -Person Golf Scramble will be held on Wednesday, June 1,th

12:30 p.m. at Tiburon Golf Course. Entry fee is $115 per person and includes a dinner banquet. Single

golfers are welcome to register. Proceeds raised will support Concordia athletics and fine arts

2016 Lutheran NightTickets are now available for the Omaha Storm Chasers Lutheran Night on Monday, June 6, 7:05 p.m. at Werner

Park. Tickets are available for $6 for reserved baseline box tickets and $10 for reserved infield box tickets when

reserved by Wednesday, June 1. This is an exclusive and special rate for all Lutheran Night ticket orders as a

way of saying thank you for your support over the years in helping make this night grow. Over 1,400 Lutherans

from over 60 churches attended Lutheran Night in 2015 and they would like to go for over 1500 this year!
