In the week ending 5th January 2018, AcuComm added or updated 33 projects to

our database. These have a combined estimated value of US$3,753 million. There

were 12 completely new projects this week, and 21 updates.

This brings the total number of active projects in the AcuComm database to 5,068.

They have an estimated value of US$357.2 million, or US$70 million on average.

The United Kingdom was the leading country in the past week in terms of project

value, accounting for US$1,648 million. This was equal to 43.9% of the total for the

week.

The leading feedstock this week was Wood, which accounted for seven projects and an estimated US$1,803

million. This is equal to 48.0% of the total value this week.

In terms of estimated capacity, the leading feedstock was MSW, which amounted to an annualised

3,166,093 tonnes or 43.2% of the total. Wood was the leading feedstock for power generation this week,

amounting to an estimated 730 MW or 64.6% of the total.

The leading facility type in the past week was incineration (with energy recovery). This

accounted for 13 projects, with a total estimated value of US$2,222 million. This was equal to

59.2% of the total.

In terms of estimated capacity, the leading facility type was also incineration (with energy

recovery), which amounted to an annualised 4,749,720 tonnes or 64.8% of the total. Incineration

(with energy recovery) was the leading facility type in terms of anticipated power output. This

amounted to 1,007 MW, equal to 89.1% of the total.
