It's the end of another busy term. Looking back on the term makes me realise what a rich and interesting time the children have at Stag Lane! In depth topic work, educational visits to the Houses of Parliament, The Tower of London or the Paper Mill, putting on class assemblies, celebrating festivals such as Chinese New Year, Mothers’ Day and Easter, listening to authors and storytellers, participating in various sporting events, visits from the NSPCC - to name but a few of the extras we do, on top of the daily diet of basic skills.

A huge thank you to our staff who plan these wonderful opportunities and great lessons and who are so readily available to work with you too. Thank you for your lovely enthusiastic children and for your continued support.

School holidays are about getting out with your children and families, do different things, have lie-ins and just enjoy being outside in the warmer spring weather. Have a lovely holiday, and Happy Easter, Kalo Pascha or Paste Fericit to our Christian families, who, incidentally, now make up 45% of our school community.

ATTENDANCE

We aim for all children to have at least 97% attendance, ideally 100%.

Please do not request time off in term time for holidays as it will be unauthorised and Harrow Council

will fine you.

Top Attendance Classes with 99%: Dove

Classes with 96% or over: Seahorse, Octopus, Dolphin, Squirrel and Eagle

Not quite there yet: Starfish, Hedgehog, Fox, Swallow and Owl classes

Update - Red Nose Day The final total for money collected for Red Nose Day was £662.28. A massive thank you to everyone who donated and all those who purchased red noses.

Easter Assemblies

We celebrated a wonderful

E a s t e r a s s e m b l y

yesterday where the

children sang brilliantly.

Well done to all the

speakers and singers. Thank you to all the families

who joined us. The children all looked super in

their Easter bonnets. This was followed by a

typical English tradition of a walk around the local

area for all children and their parents.

Certificates for 100% attendance and punctuality will be sent

out in the first week of the summer term as we need to go

right up till the end of our last day at school

Rocksteady Musical Performance On Thursday we were treated to musical performances from our 4 rock bands. The children from Year 1 and 2 were amazing! They have only been learning to play the instruments since November last year and have made fabulous progress.

They sparkled on the keyboards, jammed on the guitars, blasted on the drums and sang beautifully, all the while working co-operatively as a member of the band. Some future rock stars in the making!

Thank you to Sam, Rocksteady Band Leader, for organising the performance.
