After yousubmit your post for review, you will receive a follow-up emailthat confirms the date of posting. In some cases, you will beasked to send the message through the chat or sub-groupfunction instead. Other events or announcements mightrequire a different forum than Realm altogether.

Update: St. Patrick's Pandemic Plan"Safety First"

Note: The North Carolina Episcopal Diocese plan is not thesame as the North Carolina state government plan.

At St. Patrick's, and all other Episcopal churches in ourdiocese, we are emphasizing a slow, steady, and safe return toin-person worship. While other churches and denominationsin our area might be scheduling in-person services in the nextfew weeks, we will not be doing so.

Q: When can we return to in-person worship? A: July 1 (at the earliest)

When we do get back together in the church building, our worshipwill look different. And it might look different for quite a longtime. Here are some of the guidelines we will follow, per the Dioceseof North Carolina.

On or around July 1, we can begin to worship:Inside the church in small groups (no more than 25people including the worship team.) Social distance must bemaintained and masks must be worn. Outside in slightly larger groups (no more than for 35people) with physical distancing and masks.Online via Facebook Live as we have been doing.

In addition:Our team is currently discussing how to handle HolyEucharist and other sacraments. Also at this time, Bible studies and formation groups of 15 orfewer people might consider meeting in person whilewearing masks and maintaining physical distancing, or theymay continue to gather online. We will not host Vacation Bible School or mission trips thissummer.

CLICK HERE to read the NC diocesan document called, ATime of Challenge and Change for more details on howin-person worship will take place as we reopen the church.

Special Committee FormedWe have created a team to direct St.Patrick's future phase-in ofin-person worship. The team is meeting frequently todetermine how best to proceed as we approach July 1.

Mooresville Loves Our Military Bible Stick campaign

As we did lat year, St Patrick’s is againsupporting the Faith Comes By Hearingministry aiding US military chaplains insharing the Gospel through thedistribution of MP-3 player “BibleSticks.” Faith Comes By Hearing hastranslated the Bible into over 1350languages, and has reached an estimated85 million people through theirprograms.

We are a part of this outreach providingBible Sticks through our donations. Each contribution of $25 will provide 1 BibleStick. As we did last year, we will accept those gifts in recognition of veterans. Wedisplayed the names on stripes of a US flag we posted at the entrance to thesanctuary, and placed a star in the field for each donation. Obviously our ability torecognize those being honored is hampered until our return to corporate worshipservices, but we intend to do the same this year.

If you choose to make your contribution in the name of a veteran, please include thename, rank and branch of service, which will be included in our display. Checks canbe made to St Patrick’s with Mooresville Loves Our Military on the memo line.Contacts are Mel Spiese ([email protected]) and Patricia Berini([email protected]).
