Job Description:
Assist in performing work involved with the installation, rearrangement, maintenance, operation,
removal, and inspection of electrical transmission and distribution facilities, drive and operate line
trucks and associated auxiliary equipment. All job duties apply to overhead and underground equipment
and facilities. Assist with the assembly, installation, maintenance, removal and competently inspect
underground facilities, conductors, fixtures, structures and other associated equipment on de-energized
and grounded overhead and underground facilities under direct or immediate supervision. Climb poles,
towers and ladders and demonstrate evidence of being at ease above ground level during the
performance of work tasks. Demonstrate the ability to competently perform Ground person duties
under immediate or direct supervision. Assist with loading, unloading, handling, maintaining, installing
and removing poles, towers and structures. During the first six months in this classification, the
employee must demonstrate the ability to operate Company equipment, climb poles and structures, and
work on de-energized conductors and equipment. Also, under immediate supervision of a higher
classification, may work secondary voltage up to 260 volts. After six months in this classification, under
general supervision may work on conductors and equipment energized up to 260 volts, and may also
work higher secondary voltages under immediate supervision of a higher classification. Assemble and
install Line Material and hardware under direct or immediate supervision Use and store hand lines, tie
knots and demonstrate a basic working knowledge with ropes and rigging equipment inspection and
use. Splice primary and secondary overhead wires using the proper tools, hardware and equipment
(including crimping and compression tools). Inspect and maintain tools, equipment and work area in a
safe, clean and orderly fashion Identify, inspect, use and maintain all classes of rubber gloves and
sleeves(PIPE), and insulating blankets, hoses and covers(IPE). Inspect, maintain, organize, operate and
stock company vehicles, equipment and tools. Perform housekeeping duties as assigned. Report
irregularities and abnormal conditions. Safely execute pole top rescue process Protect or control work
area. Set and remove barricades, flags, signs, cones and associated equipment. Maintain accurate
records and submit accurate reports as required. Correctly read and record information and registered

Under direct supervision of a qualified person, perform all types of work involved in the installation,
maintenance, rearrangement, operation, removal and inspection of de-energized electrical transmission

Job Description:
Perform maintenance/repairs on sedans, light/medium/heavy trucks, trailers and heavy work
equipment and any attached equipment, and/or auxiliary equipment, which is part of the specialized
vehicles, operated by the Company. The following list sets forth the principal duties required for the job.
This list is not intended to limit assignment of work or the degree of supervision under all operating
conditions. Employee may perform miscellaneous, related, and incidental work in addition to that
specifically outlined below. Service and repair boom/pedestal assemblies of the Company's specialized
equipment including troubleshooting equipment; inspect cables, chains and rods; inspect sheave liners;
inspect and repair monitoring system; inspect fiberglass components; inspect turntable; remove and
replace reduction gearboxes; inspect pins, bushings and bearings; and load test boom assemblies.
Service and repair hydraulic systems including troubleshooting the hydraulic system; inspect, remove
and replace hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, cylinders and the accumulator; and remove and replace
swivel collector block. Service and repair heating and ventilation systems including diagnose A/C unit
problems; conduct pressure test on A/C unit; check for leaks using appropriate devices; check internal
system controls; replace compressor; service A/C clutch assembly; and replace compressor seals,
refrigerant hose, condenser assembly, receiver dryer, and evaporator core. Troubleshoot and repair
winch assemblies. Service and repair the steering system of Company vehicles including repair power
steering pump and manual steering gearbox. Service and repair the air brake systems of Company
vehicles including air compressors, air brake chambers, and air control valves. Service and repair
hydraulic and electric braking systems including inspect and repair master cylinder; test power unit and
vacuum supply; inspect power boost system; repair power brake system; and service and repair antilock
brake system. Inspect and service differentials and power dividers. Inspect and service transmission
assemblies of Company vehicles including manual clutch, manual transmissions and transfer cases,
transaxles (front-wheel-drive), and automatic transmissions. Service and repair the fuel and exhaust
systems including computer control system; test and repair diesel fuel pump; inspect and service intake
and turbo system; service and repair fuel injection system (gas/diesel); and inspect and service
governors. Assist others in the diagnosis of more complex problems. Operate Company vehicles and
associated equipment and perform duties incidental to the operation of such equipment. Perform duties
in accordance with the Company's safety rules, regulations and practices and report unsafe conditions
and practices. Maintain tools, equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition. Maintain
records and submit reports as required. Attend and participate in training as assigned and assist in the
training of other employees. Perform less skilled work as assigned. Report irregularities and abnormal
conditions. Assist employees of equal or higher classification. Direct the work of employees assigned to
assist.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: High school graduate or GED required. Experience: At least 2 years of strong automotive
mechanical diagnosis with hydraulic and diesel repair experience. Graduation from an automotive trade
school with diesel engine experience is highly desirable. Licenses/Certifications: Must possess and
maintain a valid state driver's license. Must obtain Class A CDL within 6 month of entry date into the
Fleet Technician B classification or vacate the job classification. Must obtain Fluid Power Society
Certification and two (2) applicable ASE certifications within 24 months of entry date or vacate the
current job classification. Other Requirements: Successful completion of the Tuff Tech pre-employment
placement test is required for this position. Must qualify through demonstration, examination and/or
performance appraisal as determined by the Company. Must exhibit competency and aptitude in the
fundamentals and mechanics of vehicle maintenance and repairs. Must become familiar with and have
the ability to operate the computer systems utilized by the Fleet Services organization. Must acquire
within such time frame as determined by the company, the qualifications necessary to perform the
duties of the Fleet Technician A, or vacate the current job classification. For Fleet Techs that support
Transmission, travel of 80% ? 100% may be required. Shift work may be required Physical Demands: 1.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education: Four years of high school. Must be enrolled in an accredited college, preferably as a freshman or a
sophomore.
Experience: None
Job Knowledge: Basic knowledge of general office records and good communication skills. Must learn to read computer
printouts, understand System’s maps and dispatch board and be familiar with service area. Some
knowledge of roads within System area would be helpful.
Abilities & Skills: Must have considerable skill in dealing with people including ability to deal with irate customers.
Requires tact, judgment and courtesy at all times.
Special Conditions: Must be able to respond to call-out events within 5 minutes for outages, other system events and job
related responsibilities. May live in dorm room at Service Center on off-hours (see schedule).
This job is considered a work-study program and will terminate when the individual graduates or quits
school.
I. Objectives
To operate the two-way radio system to provide for effective and accurate communication
between field personnel and others.
To receive and record customer calls and determine and dispatch proper personnel and notify
supervisor when necessary in order to provide prompt service and restoration of service.
To maintain a record of activities during off-duty operation.
To handle customer service requests and to operate SCADA and PORCHE electronic outage
reporting system per supervisor’s instruction.

III. Responsibilities & Authorities
Monitoring of the radio and relaying telephone, paging and radio messages as required.
To answer telephone calls, take appropriate action and properly record information.
To properly post and maintain information as pertains to the System.
To maintain service records concerning meters and street lights and customer services.
To monitor and respond to the PORCHE electronic outage reporting system.
To prepare maps to accompany engineers work orders on a daily basis as work orders are
generated.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned, including but not restricted to miscellaneous record
keeping, paper work and vehicle cleaning.
IV. Personal Contact General contact with the public and customers in relaying telephone calls and handling
customer service. Requires normal courtesy and requires tact and judgment in emergencies.
V. Performance Measurement Ability to relay messages to proper personnel accurately and promptly.
Ability to determine with the help of field personnel to what extent emergencies exist.

Accuracy of all service records.
SCHEDULE FOR OFF-HOURS DISPATCHERS On-duty schedule is when the employee will be working from the dispatching room answering the
telephone, dispatching the information, keeping the records, etc. During this schedule, the employee
will be paid by the hour.
If calls are received at times when the employee is not scheduled to be On-duty, they would be paid for
time worked. A minimum of fifteen (15) minutes call out pay shall be allowed when dispatcher is called
to work during the Call-out duty schedule.
Two employees (A,B) will be required for this job. The employee who is scheduled for on-duty or call-
out will be responsible for the time assigned. If it becomes necessary for the two employees (A,B) to
exchange schedules, the Supervisor must be notified. The schedule is subject to change, as necessary,
by the Supervisor.

POLICY AFFECTING OCCUPANTS OF BTES SERVICE CENTER DORMITORY ROOM
The drinking or possession of alcoholic beverages will NOT be permitted on the Service Center
premises.
The keeping of animals as pets, other than pets such as fish or turtles, will NOT be permitted.
Overnight guests will be permitted only by advance permission of the Supervisor of Electric
Engineering at BTES.
Occupants will be required to keep Dormitory Room neat, clean and orderly at all times.
Occupants will be responsible for any damages to the room or furniture during occupancy.
Radio, televisions, computers and other such electronic devices will be permitted in the dorm
room. Antennas of any type outside the dorm room will require approval of the Director of
Operations.
All cooking or food storage will be limited to the concessions areas of the Service Center. The
storage of food or the use of hot plates will not be permitted in the dorm room. Occupants
must use only those grocery supplies which he/she provides for himself/herself, or those which
the company provides for a charge. Those using the facilities must keep the area clean.
All college campus rules will apply to occupants of Service Center Dorm Room.
A minimum of fifteen (15) minutes call out pay shall be allowed when dispatcher is called back
to work after having been released from the regular day’s work unless the dispatcher works past
regular quitting time without being released from duty, then only the actual time worked shall
be allowed.

PURPOSE OF JOB: To electrically test, troubleshoot and perform a quality assurance inspection on the
equipment manufactured at Line Power Manufacturing.
UNUSUAL ENVIRONMENT FACTORS: Normal manufacturing environment with some dust and noise.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS TO ACCOMPLISH CENTRAL PURPOSE:
1. Comprehend and follow shop procedures, standard practice instructions, prints, diagrams
and other written and verbal instructions.
2. Manipulate apparatus and components to required workstations, equipment, stations and
positions.
3. Able to use hand tools and air tools.
4. Determine proper method for testing various components.
5. Complete testing, troubleshooting, and inspection of simple to complex electrical,
electronic, and mechanical components and verify proper or faulty components.
6. Interpret documented engineering and customer specifications and quality inspection
requirements.
7. Able to determine quality of workmanship as well as operation and function of electrical
circuits
8. Assist with special work assignments as assigned by the Area Manager or designee with
appropriate instruction and supervision provided.
9. Comprehend and observe all safety and quality standards and participate in Kaizan and Area
Focus Teams.
10. Work with Engineering and design personnel to help solve problems and correct
documentation for future use.
11. Using manual tools, occasional solvents, and cleaning supplies to maintain a clean and
orderly work area.
12. To maintain regular and timely attendance, to work in an efficient manner, and to work
overtime when required, all sufficiently to support the continuous manufacturing process
13. Work in close concert with, and getting along with, co-workers.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform and develop calibration procedures.
2. Perform and develop testing procedures.
3. Assist in assigned Research and Development projects.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires a two-year technical or vocational degree and 5 years of relevant work experience or
appropriate combination of education, training, skills, and experience. The Human Resource
Administrator can determine whether education and training are equivalent based on associate’s
experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Average knowledge of electrical and electronic test equipment.
2. Average knowledge of operation and troubleshooting of PLCs.
3. Basic computer skills.

Afterschool Site Coordinator

Position: Afterschool Site Coordinator
Part-time: 15-20 hours per week

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides overall management, supervision, and promotion of an offsite program. Provides a quality
experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA core values: honesty, respect,
responsibility, and caring.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Trains and supervises staff.
2. Supervises the children, site and all activities.
3. Designs and implements weekly lesson plan that is consistent with the YMCA Afterschool and
DHS policies, which is posted at site and turned in to Child Care Director on Mondays.
4. Maintains required program records.
5. Plans/implements all family nights for site.
6. Attends all required staff meetings and training, conducts a site staff meetings at least once a
month.
7. Post a weekly snack menu.
8. Collects participant fees and maintains all accounting and attendance records.
9. Conducts parent conferences once a year.
10. Maintains all records of enrolled children in accordance with the DHS licensing requirements.
11. Insures the proper use of school property and grounds as well as YMCA equipment and supplies.
12. Maintains a minimum of 20 hours of child care training as required by DHS.
13. Works with the school personnel to promote the program throughout the year.
14. Communicates consistently with parents through monthly newsletters, flyer, bulletin boards and
other YMCA marketing materials.
15. Help organize, develop, and coordinate a Parent Advisory Committee that will meet twice a year
and schedule activities that benefit the site.

17. Maintains positive relations with parents, school personnel, co-workers, subordinate staff and
volunteers.
18. Evaluation of staff twice a year.
19. Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary

20. Adheres to program standards including safety and cleanliness standards.
21. All other duties as assigned by Child Care Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Two years of college training in addition to at least one year of full-time (paid or unpaid)
documented work experience with school-age children in a group setting or a high school
diploma in addition to at least two years of full –time (paid or unpaid) documented work
experience with school-age children in a group setting.
2. Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate
program activities.
3. Understanding of child development and child care.
4. Ability to maintain positive relationships, with parents, school personnel, co-workers,
subordinate staff and volunteers.
5. CPR, First Aid, AED certifications within 30 days of hire date and Child Abuse Prevention
training along with other safety trainings assigned within 10 days of hire date.
6. Documentation verifying that the staff person is physically, mentally and emotionally
capable of safely and appropriately providing care for children in a group setting, within 10
days of employment or starting to work.
7. Previous experience with diverse populations preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
