Umpire Rules Clinic Sunday at Super Gym Individuals who want to umpire Area III Softball games must attend the Softball Rules Clinic scheduled for the Super Gym at 1300 Sunday. Coaches are also invited to attend although the clinic is primarily designed for officials. Individuals who want to umpire post-level, intramural and youth softball should plan to come. Both experienced and inexperienced officials are welcome. In addition to looking at rule changes, you will also be able to get information on uniforms, the official’s association and everything else you need to start making money as an umpire. Family & MWR is seeking US Soldiers, Family members and Civilian Employees interested in helping improve Camp Humphreys Customer Service by becoming a Mystery Shopper.

Details are still being finalized, but the first step is finding people who want to participate. Recruits will be interviewed by FMWR and given specific assignments such as eating a meal at the Alaska Mining Co., Tommy D’s or the LeCAC Café or taking a trip with Discover Seoul or Outdoor Rec. Photos needed for Earth Day

Deadline for youth to enter the Earth Day Photo Contest is April 18, with Earth Day scheduled for Transfomation Park April 21.

High resolution jpeg Photographs should be submitted to:

Please include the Name of the student submitting the photo, the sponsor’s unit, phone number, E-mail address, school and grade.

The theme of the photo contest is “Changes in the local environment.” The top six entries will be on display at Earth Day, with the Community voting for their favorite. The top three receive AAFES Gift Cards.

Best Vocal Contest every Wednesday

Tommy D’s seven week Best Vocals at the Hump Contest continues this Wednesday at 2000 and concludes May 16. Weekly winners receive prizes and advance to the finals where first prize is a $150 AAFES Gift Card. The contest is open to everyone except previous Operation Rising Star winners. Call 753-7532/8191 for details.

Indoor Soccer Tournament

The Camp Humphreys Indoor Soccer Tournament will be held at the Zoeckler Gym starting at 1500, with finals at 1730.

Following the completion of the tournament, two Area III teams will be put together for the Army in Korea (AIK) Indoor Soccer Championships set for Camp Carroll April 20-22. Two teams from Areas I, II, III and IV will play in the championship.

Class is scheduled for 1000-1530 and pre-registration is recommended but not required.
