10:30am — Worship service in the sanctuary
11:30am — TAILGATE ACTIVITIES—Football and Bounce House on the front lawn, FOOD and LOTS of FUN!
**Help feed our hungry neighbors- September 10 @ GLC- beginning at 9:00am—in partnership with Northern Illinois Food Bank.
Pack 300 Easy Eats - all the ingredients needed for a full family meal in a bag with the recipe.
THEN—Help distribute the meals to local food pantries—St. Peter's, Salvation Army, Batavia Interfaith and Countryside in Elburn.
Geneva Lutheran Church has purchased the food from Northern Illinois Food Bank for $2500.

Saturday 5:00pm in the chapel @ GLC. The parking lot will be available for your use.
Sunday morning 9:00am service @ GLC. The parking lot will be available for your use.
Sunday morning 10:30am worship service will be at @ Wheeler Park, north pavilion, on Rte. 31 in Geneva.

Weekend message: “United We Partake: Today we hear about communion, how its purpose is to unite us Christians. We how-
ever, try our hardest to create divisions and barriers. We will learn about overcoming barriers to community.”
Weekend music: Come, Let us Eat serves as our Hymn of the Day this weekend at GLC. The text provides an invitation for us to receive the
gifts of Holy Communion, then to go out and share the Good News with others. "Come Let us eat for now the feast is spread. Come let us drink
for now the wine is poured. In Jesus' presence now we meet and rest. Rise, then to spread abroad God's mighty word."
The PRAYER SHAWL monthly meetings resume on Saturday, September 9 @ 9:30am at Carol Wurtz’s home. They will meet regularly on the second Saturday of every month.
The LADIES LUNCH GROUP will meet on Thursday, September 15 @ 11:30am at Gia Mia Restaurant. The ladies will meet on the third Thursday of every month.
