2015 Cash/Non-Cash Contribution Deadline Set
The end of another year is upon us. For gifts to be included in 2015,
contributions must be dated and postmarked or received at the church no later
than December 31, 2015. The gifting process includes several options offered
for you. Besides the usual envelope giving, we are pleased to offer Simply
Giving, designed to help people conveniently and consistently give their financial
gifts through electric funds transfer (EFT) at year end and throughout the
following year.
Gifts of stock may also be transferred to Our Saviour’s as a non-cash
distribution. Gifts of stock held for at least one year and which have increased in
value since they were purchased, will generate extra tax benefits. When used
as a donation, these stock gifts provide a full value charitable deduction and
eliminate capital gains tax.
More recently, we have made online giving, kiosk giving and credit card giving
available to you. These methods of gifting are all convenient and effective ways
of providing gifts to Our Saviour’s to help us Make Jesus Known in our
congregation, our community and around the world.
For more information, please contact Jennifer Sevatson at 630- 281-4234 or at

Faces in Worship you should know: Pastor Jade Yi and Pastor John Hildner
will be helping out in worship. Both Jade and John are between calls and are
active members of Our Saviours. Thanks to both of them for helping in worship.
Pastor John and his wife Cindy, were members of Our Saviour's
for many years and their three children grew up at Our
Saviours. John has served as Pastor at a Lutheran church in
Clarendon Hills and is currently a chaplain at Edward
Hospital. We welcome the Hildners back to Our Saviour's and
thank John for his assistance in worship.
Pastor Jade served at Our Saviour's for over a year as an interim
associate Pastor during the call process for both Pastor John and
Pastor Brian. Pastor Jade is currently doing graduates work at
Wheaton College.
Special Breakfast
Join us on Saturday, January 9, at 7:30 am, for a special breakfast
with guest speaker Pastor Hicham Chehab Pastor Chehab is the
Associate Pastor at Peace Lutheran Church in Lombard, and
leads their Salam Christian Fellowship ministry.
Pastor Hicham Chehab grew up in a world of bitter animosity between Muslims
and Christians, which he experienced personally in a physical attack. He was
recruited by an extremist Muslim group and later fought against Christians in
Lebanon. Come hear how a course of cultural studies (in college), brought him to
faith. Currently, Pastor Hicham, an ordained LCMS minister, is the Associate
Pastor for Salam Christian Fellowship at Peace Lutheran Church in Lombard,
and works as a missionary to the Muslims with the Lutheran Church in Illinois.
We hope you will join us for this special presentation and a wonderful breakfast
hosted and cooked by our Men’s Ministry team.
Men Sing! Lend your voices to our 9th annual Men Sing Epiphany Concert
on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 3:30 pm, at the Our Saviour’s Campus. Our

opera singer who has returned to her hometown of Naperville and Our Saviour’s
Lutheran Church after a very successful career in Europe as a leading soprano
soloist in the Deutsche Opera Berlin. The free will offering proceeds will go to the
Feed My Starving Children 2016 Naperville Community Mobilepack to help pay
for the 1,000,000 plus meals to be packed by over 5,000 volunteers in February
2016. Contact Les May for more details and rehearsal times at
