40 x 16 - We are still working towards our
goal of having 40 choir members by 2016. Our first choir rehearsal for this season is Wednesday, September 3rd, at 7:30pm in the choir room. Remember, no musical experience necessary. Please prayerfully consider if you are called to this important and rewarding ministry.
Do you like kids? Choir Childcare (CCC) - As part of our 40 x 16 goal, we would
like to offer child care during choir rehearsal. We are in search of 3-5 volunteers who would be willing to provide this child care from about 7:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday nights on a rotating basis. If singing isn't your thing, we still need you to support our choir in this unique way.
Try before your buy! The Chancel Choir is
welcoming guest singers for our Christmas concert. This is a great way to "try out" choir with a short term commitment. Only eight rehearsals are needed! Rehearsals will be from 7:30-8:15 on seven Wednesday nights beginning 10/22 and on Saturday, 12/13 from 9am- 12noon. The concert is Sunday, December 14th, at 3pm

Silent Movie Night at WUMC! Step
back into the olden days and enjoy silent movies with live organ accompaniment. Before audio recording, silent movies' soundtracks came from an actual musician. As part of our MUSIC ON MAIN concert series, organist Ken Brown will provide live organ accompaniment for silent movies, projected simultaneously. This unique and exciting event will be presented on Saturday, September 20th, at 7:30 p.m. right in our sanctuary. This is a great opportunity to invite guests to our church!

embarked on a 100 day journey to break down his body, receive a bone marrow transplant from his father, and rebuild his immune system. The first 30 days were spent in the hospital followed by supervision; he and his mother must live in Baltimore City within fifteen minutes of the hospital. The family expected out-of-pocket costs of about $75 per day. We asked you to consider sponsoring a day … and you did! ...and you did, again!
WUMC has been able to help The Olsons with donations from members and friends, totaling $14,122—almost DOUBLE what we requested!
