Are you SCARED of your past and the way you were living your life?

A.I.P & GP Outreach is here to help you

find the courage you’ll need to overcome your

addiction and criminality.

It’s time for a change. *Sign up for GP outreach and get a taste of what A.I.P.

can do for you

Be on the look out for the next round of G.P. Outreach Sign Up Sheets on your unit. If you miss the Sign Up Sheet

please send a communication to Mr. Washington to be added to the list.

Here’s what a G.P. Committee member has to say

Looking back at my life before coming to prison, I lived by my own rules. My

greed and pride kept me believing that I was better than everyone and the world

owed me. I was always pretending to be happy, but the truth of it was, I was caught

in a vicious cycle of using drugs, alcohol, and my career to fill a void I felt for

many years. I was lost and living in a self-made prison much stronger and more

debilitating than the physical kind.

Since entering the AIP Program, I’ve come to the realization that I’m a work in

progress and my life is changing everyday. All I had to do was just believe in

myself and accept the help offered to me from the NDN counselors and staff. I love

seeing the growth in my life today, it’s as if my eyes were opened for the first time

seeing the insanity of how my life was.

The NDN counselors will help you believe in yourself, and give you the

courage to seek out a new way of life. We need to understand that whatever good

or bad fortune may come our way, we can always give it meaning and transform it

into something of value.

Being in the program has given me the chance to learn more about myself and

ask questions like; “Where am I going?” and “What do I want to do with my life?”

I know those questions I ask myself daily will help save my life. We can do

nothing about yesterday and the only thing that will change tomorrow is what we

are doing to better by ourselves today. One of the most amazing gifts I’ve received

here in the program is the understanding that we will be able to leave prison more

free, alive, and ready to face our future. If we take this opportunity to better

ourselves. Like the saying goes “You hit bottom when you quit digging” so let

prison be the place where you can put your shovel down and leave it behind when

you leave.

The bottom line is; we are all privileged with this opportunity to be in the AIP

Program. So, we need to let go of the negative and embrace the positive and

honestly reflect on that question, “Where am I going & What do I want to do with

my life?”

Life is full of choices, and the choices we all make determine our destiny…
