We have continued to prioritise comfortable class sizes across the school but this has meant we need more classrooms. As the year progresses we will have to be creative with a few of our spaces. At the end of this term Rooms 6 and 7 (Year 3) will move to the senior side (Music Room and Mandarin Room) and this will make way for 2 extra new entrant classes. I have been really impressed with the way our teachers, children and community have been flexible around these space pressures.

YEAR 6 PRODUCTION

Our year 6 students have spent the last five weeks creating their fantastic production. Thisyear they are 'Lost in Time' and tickets will be on general sale from next week ($12 peradult / $5 per child).

If the rehearsals are anything to go by, this event will be spectacular and one not to bemissed!

ECOSTORE Earlier in the year, two of our Year 5 students were part of a co-design workshop withEcostore, looking at ways in which they can reduce their waste footprint. Thanks to theinput from a range of students and supporting adults, Ecostore are launching an initiativeto create a circular waste system.

We’re teaming up with Ecostore’s Plastic Return Programme to help address the plasticproblem. The waste system in New Zealand is overwhelmed and so much of our recyclingis being sent overseas, ending up in landfill or even in the oceans. Let’s keep it in NewZealand and reuse it!

How you can help: bring in your empty Ecostore bottles, pop them in the Ecostore bottledrop bin in your child's class, and Ecostore will collect, wash and remake them into newbottles. Collect enough bottles and our school can receive money to spend onsustainability initiatives. Together we can help to reduce plastic waste right here in NewZealand!

Ecostore will launch this initiative in tomorrow's assembly.
