DATA TABLE:

Trial # of books height of books popped or not?

1 3 2 feet……………….

2 … ...feet……………….

During the experiment:

TAKE NOTES: RECORD THE HEIGHT, NUMBER OF BOOKS FOR EACH TRIAL

KEEP EXPERIMENTING UNTIL YOU FIND A HEIGHT AND NUMBER OF BOOKS THAT POPS THE BAG AT LEAST 3 TIMES, AND THAT NEVER FAILS TO POP THE BAG.

BALLOON POP LAB

Conclusion: The balloon did ____ pop when three books were dropped on it from a height of two feet above the bag.

Discussion: (lessons learned: successes and errors)

The bag did pop three times in a row- and never failed to pop - when __ books were dropped from a height of ___ feet.

This was not a perfect experiment. The things we could have done better or differently include: __________________________
