Clemson moved up a spot to No. 7 after defeating Virginia 59-10 and Miami fell from No. 7 to No. 11 following its performance in Tallahassee.Touchdown Record Holder - Tajh Boyd, who threw for three touchdowns and ran for one in Clemson’s 59-10 victory over Virginia, set the ACC career mark for touchdown responsibility formerly held by NC State’s Philip Rivers. Rivers accounted for 112 touchdowns in his four-year career as a starter with the Wolfpack, and in just his third year as a full-time starter, Boyd is responsible for 116 touchdowns; 93 passing and 23 rushing. He is now chasing Rivers’ record of 95 career touchdown passes.Florida State-ment - Florida State (6-0 in the ACC) can secure a spot in the Dr Pepper ACC Championship for the third time in four years with a win over Wake Forest this weekend. The Seminoles are averaging 51.1 points per game, which would be an ACC single-season record if they can keep at this pace. FSU set the record (48.4) in 1995. Florida State has also become the first team in ACC history to score 40 or more points in eight consecutive games (all of its eight games this year).Award Semifinalists - Florida State’s Jameis Winston and Clemson’s Tajh Boyd were named semifinalists for the Davey O’Brien Award, given to the nation’s top quarterback every year. Also, three ACC kickers were nominated as semifinalists for the Lou Groza Award, given annually to the nation’s top placekicker: Florida State’s Roberto Aguayo, NC State’s Niklas Sade and Maryland’s Brad Craddock.

Since 2011, Baylor (7-0) is 4-0 at home against Top 25 teams and will look to make it 5-0 when it welcomes Big 12 rival Oklahoma (7-1) into Waco, Texas this weekend. The Sooners have dominated the series and lead it 21-1, but Baylor is 7-0 for the first time since 1980 and will look to move to 8-0 for the first time ever.

No. 3 Oregon at No. 5 StanfordThursday, November 7, 9 p.m.

The biggest Pac-12 matchup of the year pits the two North Division leaders in Oregon (8-0) and Stanford (7-1). The Ducks have won nine of the last 11 meetings, with one of those losses coming last year. The Cardinal are 11-1 at home against ranked opponents since 2009 and that one loss came at the hands of Oregon.

BYU at No. 24 WisconsinSaturday, November 9, 3:30 p.m.

BYU (6-2) travels to Madison to face Wisconsin (6-2) for just the second time in history; the Cougars defeated the Badgers 28-3 back in 1980. BYU and its 14th-ranked rushing attack has a tough test ahead of it as it faces Wisconsin’s 5th-ranked scoring defense that allows just 15 points per game.

Nebraska at MichiganSaturday, November 9, 3:30 p.m.

Two of college football’s most historic programs face off in Ann Arbor as Michigan (6-2) hosts Nebraska (6-2) and the Cornhuskers’ 13th-ranked rushing offense (261.6 ypg). This will be the ninth meeting between the two schools with the Wolverines holding a 4-3-1 advantage over Nebraska.

Virginia Tech at No. 11 MiamiSaturday, November 9, 7 p.m.

Virginia Tech (6-3) takes on Miami (7-1) with at least a share of the ACC Coastal lead on the line. The Hurricanes have yet to make it to the Dr Pepper ACC Championship Game since joining the league but a win this weekend would put them in a position to get there if they can win one of their last two ACC games.

Houston at No. 21 UCFSaturday, November 9, 7 p.m.

The top two American teams go at it as UCF (6-1) welcomes Houston (7-1), the only two undefeated teams left in American-play. The Knights are looking to start 7-1 for just the second time in history (1998) and will need to utilize their 18th-ranked scoring defense to slow down Houston’s powerful offense.

No. 13 LSU at No. 1 AlabamaSaturday, November 9, 8 p.m.

ESPN’s College GameDay will air live this weekend from Tuscaloosa for the fourth straight meeting between LSU (7-2) and Alabama (8-0), all of which either the Tigers or the Tide were ranked No. 1. The winner of this rivalry has played in the SEC Championship Game six out of the last eight years.

No. 19 UCLA at ArizonaSaturday, November 9, 10 p.m.

UCLA (6-2) and Arizona (6-2) both need a win to get a shot at making it to the Pac-12 Championship as they are both one game behind South leader Arizona State. Under head coach Jim Mora, UCLA is unbeaten against Pac-12 South members (7-0) and it will look to keep that streak alive against an Arizona team that has won five of the last six meetings.

Discover orange Bowl- FwAA Courage Award

DALLAS (FWAA) – Oklahoma State’s wide receiver-punt returner Josh Stewart is the weekly nominee for the 2013 Discover Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award that will be announced at the end of the season.

The 21 year-old, 5-foot-10 junior from Guyer High School in Denton Texas, has suffered multiple family tragedies early on in his life.

Stewart lost his mother and his older brother in an automobile accident when he was only six months old. At the age of 5, he saw his father shot and killed in a struggle for a gun with his paternal grandfather. And then in 2005, living with his grandparents in St. Bernard Parish of New Orleans, Hurricane Katrina struck.

Stewart’s family evacuated New Orleans for good and scrambled to stay in apartments in the Denton, Texas area. As a seventh grader, Stewart wanted to return to New Orleans. But one of the country’s worst natural disasters had left them nothing.

“I wanted to get back to my New Orleans so bad because I missed my friends,” Stewart told The Dallas Morning News.

Eventually, he became a football star at Guyer and wound up at Oklahoma State where he is now playing his third season as a receiver. Last season, he ranked 10th nationally in catches a game as a sophomore.

This season alone, Stewart has 40 receptions for 510 yards (12.8 yards-a- catch average) and two touchdowns. He is an electrifying punt returner with a 19.2 yard average (19 for 364 yards) and two scores, including a 95-yarder against TCU.
