Verse: I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in truth. 3 John 1:4

Principal’s Notes:
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in truth is our 2017-18 theme verse from 3 John 1:4 (ESV). Martin Luther thirsted after truth and when he finally found the living water of truth in God’s Word, He wanted all to experience the same truth. On October 31, 1517, he nailed 95 Theses or statements to the Castle Church door in Wittenburg, Germany. He felt that the church had strayed from truth and was engaging in non-Biblical practices. As he studied God’s Word in books such as Romans, he rediscovered truth; that salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone. Sola fide is the Latin which means only or solely through faith. He put his faith in Jesus Christ. Thanks be to God that as His children we put our faith in Jesus Christ as did Luther who rediscovered the truth. And so is our focus as we approach this 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Chapel Offerings – 2nd Quarter
Chapel offerings for the 2nd Quarter have been designated for “natural disasters”. Many people
around the world have been affected in the past months, so this will be an opportunity for us to
serve them and share our blessings with those in need. We have chosen to focus on the people
affected by the hurricane in the Dominican Republic. Please look below for a forward to some
special ‘dress-down’ day to help in this cause.
• Today, Wednesday, October 25, 2017, we presented cards, letters, gifts, etc., to Pastor Tim after chapel as our culmination of pastor appreciation month. It meant much to him to have the classes come forward and present their items. Thanks for supporting this effort as we are blessed to have Pastor Tim, Mrs. Rose, Levi, Eden, and soon another amongst us.

• THERE IS NO SCHOOL NEXT MONDAY, OCTOBER 30 DUE TO PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES. CLASSES RESUME NEXT TUESDAY, OCTOBER 31. THANKS.
• Several families will not be allowed to have parent-teacher conferences due to the balance on their 2017-18 tuition/fee account. Those families have received notices.
