Slide 3 Slide notes Here are some characteristics of public and private companies:
- Public companies generally issue securities which are traded on the open market, and must meet stringent reporting requirements set out by securities commissions or authorities.
- Private companies on the other hand, do not issue shares that are publicly traded and as such are not mandated by securities commissions or authorities to report their financial and company information publicly. Also, private companies typically display limited self-reported company information.

Private companies do not issue shares that are publicly traded, and as such are not mandated to report their financials and company information publicly. If you like, you can jump to sections of the report, through clicking titles of the various sections.
